Finally, the fight everybody has been waiting for. Mayweather enters the fight as favourite, with odds of 1.50. You can actually get odds of 200/1 for Mayweather to win the fight within 60 seconds, however all the signs suggest that this will be a fight that won’t be over quickly. In fact, odds are currently 1.36 that it’ll go the full 12 rounds.
It’s the biggest fight of all time historically, and financially too. Mayweather will receive an estimated £90m from the fight and Pacquiao £60m. Fans are going to have to stay up late to watch it as it’s being televised at 4AM on Sunday morning and is being shown on Sky Box Office at a cost of £19.95. If you consider that to be expensive, fans in the states are having to pay almost £65 which alongside the record capacity of 16,000 in the stadium, it’s clear to see why there is so much money going into this fight. Lots of the bookmakers are running offers specifically for the fight, and here they are:
William Hill: Enhanced odds for new customers
It’s pretty rare that William Hill run enhanced odds for new customers, so this is good to see. New customers can get odds of 3/1 for Mayweather to win, and odds of 7/1 for Pacquiao to win. A maximum stake of £10 applies, but the great thing about this particular offer is that the winnings are paid as cash. Usually they’re paid as a free bet, but as soon as the bet has been settled, you’ll be able to withdraw your winnings as cash.
Paddy Power: Free in-play bet
Paddy Power have an offer for existing customers. Bet £20 or more in single bets before the fight starts, and they will reward you with a free £10 bet to use in-play. Given it is expected this fight will go the distance, there should be some good opportunity for the in-play bet.
Betway: Refund losing bets
Both new and existing customers can take advantage of Betway’s offer. They will refund losing bets up to £25 if Pacquiao wins inside the distance. He’s not the favourite and Mayweather is yet to lose a fight, but at odds of around 3.00 this is a cracking offer from Betway.
Betfred: Enhanced odds for new customers
Similar to Ladbrokes, Betfred are offering enhanced odds for new customers betting on the game. The enhanced odds are a little better as you can get 8/1 on a Mayweather win for instance, but the maximum stake is a bit smaller at £5 and the winnings will not be paid as cash, but rather as a free bet.
Bet Victor: Knockout cashback
Again, Bet Victor are another bookmaker that thinks the fight will go the distance, as they’re going to refund losing bets up to £10 if either Mayweather or Pacquiao gets knocked out. It’s for both new and existing customers.
Boylesports: Knockout cashback
Lastly Boylesports are also running a knockout cashback offer with a couple of differences to Bet Victor. The maximum Boylesports will refund is a little larger at £25, but the knockout must occur within the first nine rounds.
