What Are the Typical Offers Available for Horse Racing?

Usually, each bookmaker has a regular offer and picks a particular race event each day for it. There are three types of betting offers available:

1) Money back on losing bets

Bookmakers will refund losing bets on certain conditions. These conditions vary. It could be for instance that you receive money back when your horse loses by a length.

Currently, the following bookmakers offer money back when your horse:

  • 10Bet – Loses to the SP fav
  • Totesport – Finishes 2nd
  • Betfred– Finishes 2nd
  • 888sport – Finishes 2nd by a head or less
  • Boylesports – Finishes 2nd to the SP favourite
  • Winner – Finishes 2nd by a length or less
  • Paddy Power – Finishes up to 4th to the SP fav

Stakes are almost always issued as free bets, with wagering and time requirements.

2) Bonus on winning bets

Some bookmakers will offer a bonus on your winnings if the horse wins by a certain margin. There are currently two bookmakers that do this.

  • Ladbrokes – Double winnings if your horse wins by three or more lengths (known as ‘Three and Easy’)
  • William Hill – 15% extra winnings if your horse wins by two or more lengths (known as ‘2 Clear’).

Both Ladbrokes and William Hill pay the extra winnings out as a free bet.

3) Risk Free Bets

It’s more common to receive free bets as a new customer, but it is possible to get risk free bets as an existing customer too.

  • Bet 365 – ITV Racing 4/1 Offer

Bookmakers change their offers and pick different race meets each day. This is why we decided to create this page. Every day we update it with all the latest offers to save you time and get you the most value.

What Are the Best Betting Sites for Horse Racing?

This comes down to personal preference, but there are some things to consider.

1) Check they offer ‘best odds guaranteed’ (BOG)

Odds can change by the minute. It is possible to back a horse before the start of the race, only for the price to get better. To prevent this frustration, many of the bookmakers offer ‘best odds guaranteed’.

If the starting price (SP) of your horse is better than the odds you backed it at, the bookmaker will pay out at the SP price.

It is common for most bookmakers to offer best odds guaranteed. All the bookmakers featured on MyBettingSites offer best odds guaranteed with two exceptions. These are NetBet and Unibet.

2) Check their betting offers best match your needs

Almost all bookmakers will have daily specials. To get the best value, it might be best to have several betting accounts. Based on which races you’re going to bet on, pick the bookmaker that has an offer for that given meet.

3) Ensure they have competitive odds

Of course, everyone wants to get the best price when they want to bet. There is no bookmaker that has notably better odds than any other.

You will be better using an odds comparison tool, and picking the bookmaker with the best odds for that particular market.
