GentingBet Review 2020
GentingBet launched in 2010, but still has very few games in its casino section. The sportsbook does marginally better but doesn’t offer as much as other bookies. It’s still a popular operator throughout Britain, and there are many land-based casinos owned by the Genting brand.
In our GentingBet review, we’ll look at all the features available at this online gambling and betting site, including bonuses, odds and betting markets.

Welcome Bonuses -2.5/5
GentingBet has two welcome offers available: one for the sportsbook, and one for the casino. While its casino offer is relatively generous, the promotion for new sports bettors falls significantly short of the mark.
New members of the casino get treated to a deposit match of 100% up to £200, with an additional 100 free spins to use on the Starburst slot. On the betting side, new players are given a €/£10 free bet – only if their first wager loses.
Note that the Casino bonus is only in GBP, while the sportsbook offer is in both Euros and Pounds. For our GentingBet review, we took an objective look at the two different welcome offers.
Steps to Get Your GentingBet Sportsbook Welcome Bonus
The GentingBet sportsbook welcome offer is not all that generous and isn’t guaranteed either. In fact, the €/£10 free bet reward is conditional on punters losing their first wager. If you were to win your first bet on the sportsbook, you would no longer qualify for the offer.
To get your free bet, you need to register and make a minimum deposit of €/£10 or more. Once you’ve made your deposit, go to the sportsbook, and place an Each Way wager within 28 days. It also needs to be at odds of 2.0 or higher.
Once you’ve settled your bet, check to see if you’ve won or lost. If you’ve lost your wager, the €/£10 free bet will be credited into your account. Keep in mind that your free bet is only valid for seven days, and terms and conditions apply.
GentingBet Sportsbook Bonus Terms and Conditions
Reasonable terms and conditions are an essential factor when scoring bonuses for our GentingBet review. The T&C’s for the sportsbook bonus is relatively standard. Most notably, the reward is only available to punters in the UK.
If they suspect you of using any betting methodologies to increase your chances of success, the bookie may cancel your bonus and associated winnings.
Should you register via any website that advocates the use of matched or arb betting strategies or betting systems, they may void your bonus. This is explicitly stated in the terms.

GentingBet Casino Bonus Terms and Conditions
There are a few very specific terms to take note of for the casino welcome offer. First, remember to opt-in, or you won’t qualify for the offer. Also keep in mind that, if you’ve been disqualified from any bonuses before, you won’t be able to claim the welcome reward.
You need to make your deposit within 15 days of registering and meet the 35x wagering requirement within 30 days. Only certain slot games count 100% towards the requirement, while others count only 50% or 25%.
The free spins are only awarded after meeting the wagering requirements and receiving your bonus but must be used within seven days, or they will expire.
As we mentioned in the sportsbook bonus terms section of our GentingBet review, any suspicious activity or suspected cheating will result in a voided bonus.
Betting Markets / Available Sports – 4/5
If you’re looking for a wide variety of betting markets, you certainly can’t go wrong with GentingBet. The bookie has 29 different betting markets, including popular sports, special markets, esports as well as politics.
Being a bookmaker that primarily caters to a European audience, there’s a heavy focus on football. That said, punters also have access to racing, American football, cricket, golf, hockey and mixed martial arts.
If that’s not your cup of tea, you’ll also have access to hurling, motorsports, rugby, pool, boxing, baseball, and the list doesn’t stop there. There are also political events you can wager on.
Overall, GentingBet might not have the most significant variety of sports or betting markets. That said, its selection is far from disappointing, and it has a lot of potential to grow.
For our GentingBet review, we’re satisfied with its current selection of betting markets but would like to see it expand the available options in the future.
GentingBet Odds – 2.5/5
The GentingBet odds aren’t poor, per se, but they’re nothing to write home about. Compared to several of the top bookmakers in the industry, the odds fall a little short of high marks.
GentingBet’s odds are relatively good for darts and cricket, with European football trailing not far behind. On average, its odds are either just below, or significantly lower than the odds of popular bookies such as Bet365, Betfair and William Hill. That said, it is competitive with some sports, such as football and horse racing, but less so with others.
Here’s an example of a Super Rugby bet based on GentingBet’s odds. We’re going to use a match between the Crusaders and the Blues. Odds are 2/5 of the Crusaders winning, 22/1 for a draw, and 12/5 for the Blues claiming victory.
If you were to place a €/£10 bet on the Blues, and they beat the Crusaders, you’ll walk away with a €/£34 win and a profit of €/£24. Betting on the Crusaders to come out victorious would have given you a significantly smaller profit of €/£4.
Your biggest win would have been on the improbable draw, giving you a total profit of €/£220.
The odds on the site can be switched between decimal and fractional easily, by simply choosing your preferred format on the sportsbook screen.
For our GentingBet review, we conclude that the odds might not be the most competitive in the market. However, we hope to see an improvement in GentingBet’s odds in the future.
Streaming and Live Betting on GentingBet – 2/5
Many punters enjoy the thrill of placing in-game wagers during various events. If that’s a feature that you’re looking for, you’re in luck. GentingBet allows live betting for several of its popular sports.
However, if you expect there to be a GentingBet live streaming service to accompany its in-game betting options, you’re out of luck. Currently, there are no streaming options available for real sports events.
That said, there is a live streaming service for certain virtual games. The GentingBet live streaming service for virtual games doesn’t require you to have an account, so money and bets aren’t an issue.
We tested the GentingBet live streaming service on an average WIFI connection and didn’t experience any issues with lag or buffering. However, depending on the quality of your bandwidth, you may experience some minor issues when streaming in high definition.
For our GentingBet review, we were expecting more. It’s somewhat disappointing to have access to in-game betting, but not to a streaming service. While there is a GentingBet live streaming service for virtual events, it doesn’t quite meet the required needs. For now, however, punters will have to make do without.
GentingBet Mobile App: 3/5
The hallmark of any good betting site is having a mobile application available and offering a mobile-optimised website. For our GentingBet review, we evaluated the apps, installation process, usability and features.
Note that there are several Genting apps: GentingBet, GentingBet Casino, GentingBet Live UK Casino. While it might be a good idea to have separate apps for different sections of the website, the only application with primarily positive reviews is the Live Casino app.
Android and iPhone users will be happy to know that GentingBet has native apps available for both operating systems. However, if you’re using any other kind of mobile device, you’ll need to use the GentingBet mobile website. That’s not a bad thing, per se, although there are advantages and disadvantages to both options.
To download the Android .apk file from the website, it seems that you need an account. The app can’t be downloaded via Google Play, as Google is extremely strict about letting gambling apps onto its platform. Note that you’ll have to change the security settings on your phone to install the application.
The iOS app is available from Apple’s App Store, where it has several mixed reviews with several users reporting bugs and crashes. The GentingBet casino app fares even worse, with primarily negative reviews.
Graphics / User-Friendliness
The applications take up quite a bit of storage space. However, the apps still look good and work relatively well. There aren’t any significant design differences between the applications. The mobile site also looks good on smaller screens, although some pages might load significantly slower due to data usage.
All the applications look almost exactly like the website, making it easier for existing players to transition between the apps and the GentingBet site. How user-friendly you consider the apps might depend on how easy you found the website to use – which does have a few issues when it comes to navigation.
The GentingBet betting app has most of the same features that you can find on the website, including in-game betting, sports betting markets and bonus offers. There are no mobile-specific bonuses, even though you can make deposits via the application.
You can also use GentingBet live streaming to watch virtual events via the mobile app. Keep in mind, though, that this will use a lot of data.
GentingBet Payment Options – 1.5/5
If you’re looking for a large variety of payment methods, GentingBet isn’t for you. In fact, this bookie offers a total of two payment methods:
- Debit Cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro)
- GentingPay / Casino Cashiers
The bookie used to accept credit cards as well, but due to legislative changes made by the UKGC, it no longer allows deposits or withdrawals via this method.
Deposits carry no fees and are usually instantaneous. The minimum deposit is €/£10 with debit cards, and €/£50 via GentingPay.
Withdrawals with these methods also carry no fees. GentingPay withdrawals are usually instantaneous, depending on security checks. Processing a transaction to your debit card, however, can take up to seven days, depending on your country.
Interestingly, many reviews list Skrill as a payment method. However, customer support was extremely helpful in confirming that only Debit Cards and GentingPay are currently accepted on the site.
Again, we spotted a problem while doing our GentingBet review. Currently, this bookie only accepts Euros and the British Pound. Combined with its generally poor selection of payment methods, we’re quite disappointed.
Customer Care – 4/5
If you run into any problems, you can contact GentingBet customer support, which is available via live chat, phone, and email. The fastest way to reach the service team is via the live chat feature through the website.
While the support team is meant to be available 24/7 (except on Christmas Day), there are times when the live chat might not be available. It doesn’t stay down for long, however, and you can leave the services team a message with your email address and query. Alternatively, you can email them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’d like to speak to an agent, you can request a call back. Leave your details, and the folks at GentingBet will give you a call.
The online reviews are mixed, with most of the responses being negative. However, GentingBet only claimed its Trustpilot profile early in 2020. Since then, the customer service team has responded quickly to almost every complaint and even turned some negative reviews into positive ones. That’s definitely a point in the team’s favour.
The one major downside we’ve noticed while doing our GentingBet review is that support is only available in English. This is particularly poor, considering how many non-English speaking countries can access and use the website.
Our Verdict – 2.8/5
GentingBet has a few strong points, but it needs work in others. First, we’ll cover what we liked about this bookie in our GentingBet review, before covering the negatives.
There are several betting markets available, and the addition of special, political and esports betting was definitely an advantage. We also have to give the customer care team credit for being very helpful and quick to respond – when they’re available.
The bonuses are solidly average, while odds can use some improvement. It’s also disappointing to have access to live betting options, but no live streaming services.
The biggest disappointment by far is the lack of payment options. With only two methods available, it doesn’t give members a choice.
Overall, this bookie has its pros. Unfortunately, they’re not enough to boost its score.
For our GentingBet review, we give this bookmaker a solid 2.8/5.
