I’m A Celebrity 2024: Who has given the most value for money to the producers?

Updated on

The 2024 edition of Ant and Dec’s I’m A Celeb has reached a conclusion, with McFly’s Danny Jones being crowned king of the jungle for this year’s show, in what was a hugely entertaining watch for fans.

Coleen Rooney is of course the most high-profile celebrity in this year’s edition and as per reports from the likes of The Independent and OK Magazine, also the highest paid.

That got us thinking – which celebrity has given the most value for money to the producers? Or conversely, which celebrity earned the most for the least amount of days in the jungle.

To calculate this, we looked at the reported fee for them and the days that they stuck around in the show. We divided the fee by the number of days to ascertain who’s given the best value per pound spent by the producers.

ContestantApprox Fee (£)DaysFee Per Day (£)
Alan Halsall£100,00020£5,000
Barry McGuigan£200,00019£10,526
Coleen Rooney£500,00022£22,727

Celebs who’ve been the best value

As per our methodology, Dean McCullough, who was eliminated on Day 15, has been the ‘best value’ celebrity on the show. He was reportedly paid £60,000 for his appearance on the show and looking at the days spent, he offered a value of £4,000 per day.

That figure cannot be surpassed as among the remaining contestants, even if they go to the final on Day 22, they will not offer better value. Alan Halsall, who’s closest to McCullough in this regard, if he reaches the final, he’ll offer a value of £4,545.45.

The most expensive celebrities

Rooney is the highest paid celebrity of all the contestants this year and it’s no surprise that she tops the list for being the most expensive per day. This is assuming the half a million pounds she’s earning for her appearance on the show, which itself is a conservative estimate as there are reports she’s earning over £1.5 million.

The closest celebrity to Rooney’s per day fee is Tulisa who was surprisingly eliminated on Day 16. The N-Dubz singer and X-Factor judge pocketed in about £12,500 per day, which is half of Rooney’s haul so far.
