Wednesday’s game at MHPArena has thrown up a situation UEFA would have hoped to have avoided, with Stuttgart and Paris Saint-Germain both set to reach the Champions League playoffs for the last-16 with a draw, barring some miraculous results elsewhere.

With that in mind, the price for a stalemate in Stuttgart is shorter than normal, but that should not deter punters from siding with the draw this week.

Even without the scenario of both teams qualifying with the draw, the result finishing all square at the full-time whistle would have appealed in ordinary circumstances.

Stuttgart have lost just one of their last seven home games in all competitions, while both teams have quick turnarounds this week, with important league games for both sides on Saturday, so neither side will be going gun-ho to win this one.

With the chance of amicably both progressing a step closer to the last 16, a draw looks to be the way to go here.

Dembele can strike in Stuttgart

A player who finds himself in great form at an important stage of the season, Ousmane Dembele is certainly worth considering in the anytime goalscorer market for this one.

Dembele has found the back of the net in both of PSG’s last two games, scoring in a 4-2 win over Manchester City in the Champions League, before scoring last time out in a 1-1 draw with Reims.

The former Barcelona star appears to be growing in confidence under manager Luis Enrique and the Frenchman is good value to score in his third consecutive game on Wednesday.

Undav and Dembele feature in three-fold bet builder

Looking at a bet builder selection, Dembele and Deniz Undav can play big roles in a three-fold that comes in at an eye-catching 16/1.

With Wednesday’s encounter expected to be a stalemate and Dembele tipped to get on the scoresheet, both teams getting on the scoresheet forms the foundation of this three-fold.
