After more than a fortnight of one-day international cricket, the 2025 Champions Trophy is about to reach its conclusion with India taking on New Zealand in the final in Dubai.
Having benefited from playing all of their matches in Dubai rather than host nation Pakistan due to political tensions, India have won all four of their matches in the tournament, edging Australia by four wickets in the semi-finals.
New Zealand, meanwhile, lost to India by 44 runs in the group stage but have won their other three matches in the competition, including a 50-run victory over South Africa in the last four, and they will be out for revenge at the Dubai International Stadium.

Kohli can bow out in style
A lot was made of Shubman Gill, India’s new batting superstar, coming into this year’s Champions Trophy but it has been the nation’s old guard who have really caught the eye.
Kohli, considered one of the best ODI players of all time, has taken this tournament by the scruff of its neck at times and is India’s leading run-scorer heading into the final with 217 runs to his name.
There are suggestions that both he and Rohit Sharma are set to call time on their ODI careers after this final and, if that is the case, Kohli will be determined to bow out in style.
He is a man for the big occasions, having scored an unbeaten 100 against India’s rivals Pakistan in the group stage before he made 84 – the most in the team again – in the semi-final triumph over Australia.
It would therefore be appropriate for Kohli to excel in what will potentially be his last ODI appearance, so back him to be India’s top run-scorer.

Chakravarthy able to haunt New Zealand again
From batters to bowlers, Varun Chakravarthy has also enjoyed a stellar Champions Trophy campaign for India.
As well as being used to the venue and conditions, one of the biggest benefits of India having played their matches in Dubai has been a pitch suitable to spin bowlers, which they have in decent supply.
But Chakravarthy has been the pick of them with seven wickets in the tournament and he claimed five of them in the 44-run win over New Zealand in the group stage.
He is capable of taking at least another couple of wickets when the sides reconvene in Dubai.
India vs New Zealand Tip 2: Varun Chakravarthy to take two or more wickets @ 8/11 with bet365
Ravindra looks the most likely to star for Black Caps
Rachin Ravindra did not feature in New Zealand’s opener at the Champions Trophy as he continued his recovery from a forehead injury but in the three matches he has played, he has excelled.
He struck 112 against Bangladesh, six against India and 108 against South Africa, meaning he is New Zealand’s leading run-scorer in the competition with 226 runs heading into the final.
He struggled in Dubai last time out but has that experience under his belt and the Dubai pitch is not as unforgiving to batsmen as it was at the start of the tournament, so he is fancied to score over 25.5 runs this time around.
India vs New Zealand Tip 3: Rachin Ravindra to score over 25.5 runs @ 5/6 with bet365
