Magpies to swoop to victory
On the back of a 5-0 demolition job against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, Newcastle United will be brimming with confidence when they head to the West Midlands on Saturday.
Aston Villa on the other hand will need to pick themselves up, following their gallant effort against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
The Villans came from two goals down to earn a 3-2 victory at Villa Park against PSG, but that was not quite enough to overturn the 3-1 defeat they suffered at the Parc des Princes in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.
We have seen in the past how difficult it can be for teams to respond after an exit from Europe and Saturday seems like a good opportunity for Newcastle to strengthen their grip on third place with three points at Villa Park.
The Magpies have an excellent record against Villa with five wins in their last six Premier League meetings and the visitors are good value to make it four wins on the bounce against the Villans this weekend.

Barnes is on a roll
Coming into great goalscoring form at the business end of the season, Harvey Barnes has to be a player pushing for a return to the England squad.
Having not featured for the Three Lions since making his one and only appearance against Wales in 2020, the former Leicester City star will be giving new England manager Thomas Tuchel plenty to think about.
Scoring in all of Newcastle’s last three games, including a brace against Manchester United last weekend, Barnes is now the second-highest goalscorer for the Magpies in the Premier League this season.
Given his recent form in front of goal, Barnes in the anytime goalscorer market is worth considering.

Isak and Joelinton feature in bet builder
Looking at a bet builder selection, Alexander Isak is good value to strike again after scoring in Newcastle’s 3-0 win over Villa at St James’ Park earlier this season.
The Sweden striker was back on the scoresheet against the Eagles in midweek and can add another goal to his growing Premier League collection on Saturday.
Boosting the odds to 27/4, Joelinton to be carded also gets the nod after he was booked in the last meeting between these sides on Boxing Day.
No player has more yellow cards than the Brazilian for Newcastle in the Premier League this season and it would be little surprise to see the 28-year-old booked this weekend.
