Typical Winner According To History
According to the analysis of 71 past winners and their characteristics since 1956, the typical winner of Eurovision is a woman (56.3%), a solo performer (72.9%), singing a pop song (45.1%), in English (49.3%) about love & relationships (59.7%), and is between 25-27 years old (the average age of the past winners is 26.9 and median is 25). Lastly, 18.4% of the past winners won with a song starting with the letters “D” or “T”.
Sissal (“Hallucination”) representing Denmark has the most traits (5) which are typical for a Eurovision winner: she is a female solo performer who sings a pop song about love in English.
Ireland (Emmy, “Laika Party”), Malta (Miriana Conte, “Serving”) & Luxembourg (Laura Thorn, “La poupée monte le son”) all have the second most traits (4) typical for a Eurovision winner.

When looking at the 2025 Eurovision contestants’ streaming numbers ahead of the start of the competition, “Bara bada bastu” by KAJ from Sweden is the most streamed song on Spotify with 38.5 million streams.
“Volevo essere un duro” by Lucio Corsi from Italy is currently the second most streamed song on Spotify from this year’s entries with over 37.9 million streams.
Instagram Followers
Louane (France) is the most followed act on Instagram with 1.245 million followers, followed by Tommy Cash (Estonia) with 1.17 million followers and Lucio Corsi (Italy) with 1.055 million followers.
TikTok Followers & Likes
On TikTok, France’s Louane is the most followed act with over 1.3 million TikTok followers and 24.9 million likes across her videos. Ireland’s Emmy and San Marino’s Gabry Ponte are right behind Louane since both have 1.2 million followers on TikTok.
YouTube Views & Likes
When looking at the Official YouTube music videos of this year’s contestants, “Bara bada bastu” by KAJ from Sweden is currently the most viewed YouTube video with 9.179 million views (which is double the number of views of the second most viewed YouTube video from this year’s entries) and 132K likes.
