Saints vs Warriors Betting Tips
Our betting expert has three St Helens vs Wigan Warriors tips for Friday’s Super League encounter at the Totally Wicked Stadium (kick-off, 8pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.
- Wigan Warriors -2.5 @ 10/11
- Winning Margin – Wigan Warriors 1-10 points @ 21/10
- Jai Field to score at any time @ 2/1
Injuries to play their part on Merseyside
Just four points split Wigan Warriors and St Helens going into tonight’s Super League clash, and with only three rounds of the regular season left, every point counts in the race for play-off positioning.
Both sides will be desperate to land a statement victory, but St Helens’ selection problems could tilt the balance against them at the Totally Wicked Stadium. Morgan Knowles misses out after failing a Head Injury Assessment, while George Delaney is sidelined through suspension.
By contrast, Wigan are boosted by the return of Ethan Havard from his own ban and Luke Thompson, who is available again after seven matches out. The Warriors have already won their last three meetings with Saints, and with their pack looking stronger on paper, they may well dominate through the middle and edge another key victory.

Hosts to dig in against their rivals
Wigan may have the edge in recent meetings with St Helens, having won the last three encounters, but all of those came at home and this trip to the Totally Wicked Stadium could prove more testing.
Saints have beaten the Warriors in their last four clashes on their own patch and, despite injury and suspension issues, they look capable of keeping things tight once again. Paul Wellens’ side have been cautious in big fixtures this season, leaning heavily on their defensive structure to stay competitive.
Friday’s contest is likely to resemble a Grand Final in style, with both sides looking to play low-error rugby, kicking early and waiting for mistakes. Saints boast the second-meanest defence in the league, conceding just 244 points, and history suggests this will be another close one, with three of the last four meetings having been settled by 10 points or fewer.

Wigan ace to shine again
Only Hull FC’s Lewis Martin has crossed the whitewash more times in Super League this season than Wigan star Jai Field.
The Australian has 21 tries to his name in 2025, three of which have come in his last two appearances. That purple patch has coincided with the return of Bevan French, and the pair are once again forming a lethal partnership in attack.
St Helens have shown vulnerability when defending out wide, and any slip in possession could be ruthlessly punished by the speed and understanding of French and Field.
