Ousmane Dembele clear favourite after fantastic year with PSG
It is no shock to see Ousmane Dembele the clear favourite after this year he has had with French giants PSG. Across 2024/25, Dembele was a menace for opposition defenders.
The French winger managed 35 goals and 16 assists across 53 appearances in all competitions. He scored 21 goals and picked up eight assists in 29 Ligue 1 appearances and managed eight goals and six assists in 15 Champions League appearances. There is no doubting that PSG would have found last season a lot tougher and possibly not won the Champions League if Dembele wasn’t involved.
The club also reached the Club World Cup final and will be gutted that they didn’t lift the trophy, but they have arguably been the club who have had the best year in Europe and it would be fully deserved for one of their players to lift the Ballon d’Or trophy. The last time a French club saw one of their current players, at the time of the ceremony, win the award, was Lionel Messi in 2021.
