Minnesota Vikings @ Cleveland Browns NFL London betting tips
Our betting expert has three selections for this NFL Week 5 clash.
- Cleveland Browns +3.5 @ 10/11
- Quinshon Judkins anytime touchdown scorer @ 7/4
- Bet Builder: Under 36.5 points, Jordan Mason under 70.5 rushing yards & Quinshon Judkins over 70.5 rushing yards @ 24/5
Browns can keep Vikings at close quarters
After their Week 4 defeat to the Steelers in Dublin, the Vikings have stayed this side of the Atlantic for a London showdown with the Cleveland Browns – but the result could be similar.
While Minnesota’s short trip across the Irish Sea may help in terms of body clock, there was little encouragement in their Croke Park display, as stand-in quarterback Carson Wentz struggled badly under pressure from the Pittsburgh defense.
This week, Wentz faces an even tougher test. Cleveland’s defense has been outstanding, giving up the fewest total yards through four games, and the fourth-lowest passing yards despite facing high-powered offenses in the Bengals, Ravens, Packers and Lions.
The Browns, meanwhile, have turned to rookie QB Dillon Gabriel in place of veteran Joe Flacco. He faces a tough introduction in London, but the former Oregon Duck should be able to lean on a strong rushing attack and an elite defense to keep the game tight.
Cleveland could easily win this, but the safer bet is to take them +3.5 on the spread in what looks set to be a close contest.

Rising star Judkins backed to find the end zone
With the inexperienced Gabriel at quarterback, the Browns are likely to run the football early and often, and running back Quinshon Judkins looks booked for a busy afternoon following an electric start to his NFL career.
After missing Week 1 while he waited to sign his contract, Judkins impressed on debut against Baltimore in Week 2, rushing for 61 yards from just 10 carries.
His involvement increased in Week 3, as he totalled 94 yards and a touchdown from 18 touches in the win over the Packers, then he scored again last week in Detroit, where he carried the ball 21 times.
The Vikings struggled to stop the run in Dublin, as the Steelers’ No.2 back Kenneth Gainwell cut through them for 99 yards and two touchdowns. That bodes well for Judkins, who looks a strong candidate to find the end zone at any time.

Hard to have faith in stuttering offenses
The total is set at a super-low 36.5 in London, but there’s no obvious reason while two stuttering offenses will suddenly turn things around.
Wentz has weapons in the form of receivers Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson, but he might find it hard to connect with them when faced with a relentless Cleveland defense, while Gabriel obviously has plenty to prove on his NFL debut.
Minnesota running back Jordan Mason was unable to get things going last week and has failed to top 70.5 rushing yards in three of the Vikings’ four games, but Judkins should be more productive for reasons already outlined.
