Expect a City response
Manchester City may be unbeaten in six games in all competitions, but conceding late goals has been hurting them in recent weeks.

A late equaliser saw Guardiola’s men draw 2-2 at Brentford last season, having won 3-1 in the 2023-24 campaign.
It’s worth noting that both teams have scored in four of the last six meetings between the sides, with those four matches seeing the over 2.5 goals mark exceeded.

Schade could hold the key to Bees’ hopes
Last week’s win over Manchester United lifted Brentford up to 13th in the Premier League table and the goals have been starting to flow.
Keith Andrews’ squad have scored more goals than anyone in the bottom half of the table, finding the net nine times in their opening six league matches.

Foden can have a big impact
Manchester City have scored five goals across their last two trips to Brentford, with Phil Foden notching all five.
The England international gave City a two-goal lead in this fixture last term before the hosts fought back to claim a 2-2 draw.
Foden also bagged a hat-trick in the 3-1 win the season before and having been left out of the England squad, will feel he has something to prove.
There have been two or more goals in four of the last six meetings between the two teams and you have to go back to 1997 for the last time this fixture finished in a 0-0 draw.
With Erling Haaland on top form at present, Brentford are going to have their hands full trying to keep the Norwegian at bay.
Nathan Collins is likely to be handed the task of trying to keep the City striker away from the penalty area and the Bees skipper will be up against it.
Collins has already picked up three yellow cards and committed nine fouls in the Premier League this season; he should reach double figures for infringements by the end of Sunday’s contest.
