Latvia vs England Betting Tips

Our betting expert has three Latvia vs England tips for Tuesday’s World Cup qualifying Group K match at the Daugava Stadium, Riga (kick-off, 7.45pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.

England can run away with it in Riga

England can seal their place at next summer’s World Cup with a victory in Riga, and it’s hard to see anything other than a comfortable win against a Latvia side that could only manage a 2-2 draw with Andorra on Saturday.

The Three Lions have been flawless in qualifying so far, winning all five matches without conceding a goal, and they warmed up for this clash with a convincing 3-0 friendly victory over Wales, a game effectively settled within the opening 20 minutes.

Thomas Tuchel appears content to rotate his squad and reward those in form, with England showing greater attacking fluency in recent outings, including wins over Andorra (2-0) and Serbia (5-0) in September.

Having beaten Latvia 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in March, England should once again prove far too strong. While the odds for an away win to nil are short, backing Tuchel’s men to record another emphatic victory, by four or more goals, looks the value play in Riga.

Kane can break the deadlock

England skipper Harry Kane missed the win over Wales as a precaution, but manager Thomas Tuchel has said he is “convinced” the Bayern Munich striker will be fit to start on Tuesday.

Kane’s form this season has been nothing short of sensational, netting 11 goals in six Bundesliga games, and 18 in 10 matches across all competitions, to underline his status as one of Europe’s most clinical finishers.

The 32-year-old was on target against Serbia in September, and if Tuchel’s confidence in his fitness proves justified, it’s hard to overlook him in the goalscoring markets.

While he’s odds-on to score at any time, Kane’s current club form makes him a standout pick to open the scoring in Riga.

Guehi and Rogers to star again

Morgan Rogers is making the England number 10 role his own and scored his first international goal against Wales.

Considering the Aston Villa man has provided more open play assists than any other Premier League player in 2025 (nine), he is worthy of consideration for direct goal involvement.

As is Marc Guehi, who was credited with the assist for Rogers’ goal on Thursday, as well as Ollie Watkins’ strike.

Guehi also scored in Serbia and is a guaranteed starter when fit, not just for his defensive prowess, but also for his ability to move the ball up the field.

That talent can draw fouls from opposition attackers and Latvia’s Vladislavs Gutkovskis is no stranger to infringements.

Gutkovskis has tallied a team-high 10 fouls during Latvia’s six qualifying matches and the burly forward is expected to put himself about against Guehi and co.
