Second-half entertainment expected in the capital

Given Spurs have picked up just four points at home and Manchester United have collected just one more on their travels, it’s difficult to make a case for either of these two to come out on top when they clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But there could be plenty of goals in Saturday’s contest, as Tottenham’s 10 Premier League matches this season have produced 25 goals and the Red Devils’ 33.

Spurs also head into this contest on the back of a 4-0 victory over Copenhagen in the Champions League and it’s notable that three of those strikes came in the second half.

United’s last three fixtures have produced 13 goals and nine of those have been scored after the interval, evidence that things start to open up in the second period.

Spurs to fall foul of the referee

Tottenham have been one of the most ill-disciplined teams in the league this term, accumulating 21 yellow cards to leave them behind only Bournemouth, Brighton, and Everton.

Spurs have received at least three cautions in two of their last three matches in all competitions and in three of the previous four meetings against the Red Devils.

Mbeumo to help land bet builder

Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo has found his shooting boots for United in the last few weeks, notching three times over his last three appearances.

The 26-year-old has registered at least one shot on target in nine of his 11 outings and he remains one of United’s most potent attacking players, making him a solid shout to hit the back of the net against an opponent he has scored against four times.

Lilywhites defender Micky van de Ven has tested the goalkeeper at least once in three of his last four matches, three of those ending up in the back of the net, and he can force United’s stopper into another save.

Casemiro has been an integral part of United’s midfield this season, but he is not getting any younger and has committed at least two fouls in three of his last five appearances.

In a fast-paced game, the Brazilian could struggle to keep up and be forced to make a couple of fouls.
