The final full-field event of the 2025 PGA Tour season comes from Sea Island Golf Club, on the golfing hotbed of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, which stages the RSM Classic for the 16th consecutive year.
Originally known as the McGladrey Classic, the event has always taken place in the autumn. It now marks the final leg of the FedEx Cup Fall, offering one last chance for players to lock up their playing rights for next year’s big events. RSM Classic Golf Betting Tips
Since 2015, the RSM has taken place at two courses: the field rotates around the Seaside Course and the Plantation Course over the first two rounds, before the weekend action plays out on the Seaside.
All types of players have won the event, but the list of previous champions is filled with those who tend to excel on the greens, and strong form on coastal courses is also a significant positive.

Georgia native Harman is ready to win again
A number of PGA Tour professionals are based on Saint Simons Island, including Brian Harman, who is, at 32nd, the second-highest ranked player in the field behind favourite and fellow Georgia native Harris English.
Both have claims, but Harman has a superior RSM Classic record, finishing fourth in the 2018 edition of the tournament and a runner-up as recently as 2023. He also has a relatively recent run-out under his belt, having finished 26th in the DP World Tour’s India Championship last month.
The left-hander is capable of producing the short-game magic that is often required at Sea Island, and, given that he won the Open Championship at Hoylake in 2023, his coastal credentials are arguably unmatched in this company.

Poston is well-suited to the coastal test
Three-time PGA Tour winner J.T. Poston is at his best on shorter courses, and he looks well-equipped to challenge for the RSM Classic crown.
The North Carolinian, who, like Harman, is based on Saint Simons Island, took a while to figure out this course, but he finished 21st in the 2022 RSM Classic, despite struggling with his putting, and he was fifth last season, firing weekend rounds of 64 and 63.
Poston was fifth at the US PGA Championship in May, and he produced four solid rounds when finishing 29th at the Sanderson Farms Championship in his first outing last month since the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Cole can put short-game skills to good use
Eric Cole looked like a winner in waiting when he broke onto the PGA Tour in 2023, and while things haven’t gone completely to plan for the Floridian this year, this represents a good chance for him to gain that elusive first victory.
Cole finished third in the 2023 RSM and 15th last year. While he was one of many who struggled in difficult conditions in Bermuda last week, he can draw encouragement from Fall Series top-10 finishes at the Sanderson Farms Championship and World Wide Technology Championship.
