Antoine Semenyo is attracting a lot of interest from some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. It looks like these clubs are starting to intensify their pursuit of the winger, with reports suggesting he has a £65m release clause. This leaves Bournemouth powerless in the January transfer window should a team want to trigger it, and this is starting to look increasingly likely.
Here are the latest betting odds for Semenyo’s next possible club, with Manchester United the current favourites.
Antoine Semenyo Next Club Betting Odds
Semenyo is one of the most sought-after attackers in the Premier League and every ‘Big 6’ club from the division is among the favourites to sign him. Semenyo has not made any suggestions that he will leave in January, but if a big club trigger his release clause then he will no doubt agree to join them.
UK betting sites were suggesting that he was most likely to stay at the Cherries in January, but over the last week, the odds have shifted, and Man United, Liverpool and Manchester City all in the race to sign him.
Manchester United are currently the favourites at 5/2, with Manchester City at 3/1 and Liverpool at 7/2. Manchester United were not the favourites ahead of their rivals until recently, with the club seeing key attackers head to AFCON, whilst captain Bruno Fernandes picked up a hamstring injury against Aston Villa. With creative players missing, the Red Devils seem likely to make an earlier move for the winger.
With Liverpool inconsistent and Mohamed Salah struggling and with Manchester City crying out for another winger, it’s no shock to also see these clubs in the running.

Man United, Liverpool and Man City among favourites to sign Semenyo
Semenyo had an electrifying start to the season, scoring five goals and picking up three assists in his first seven Premier League games. Since then he has managed three more goals and although his scoring is not as consistent as it was at the start of the season, there is no doubting his world class ability. He would be a good signing for any ‘Big 6’ club that wants him.
Man United, Liverpool and Man City are the favourites out of the ‘Big 6’ clubs to sign Semenyo and all these clubs would suit the player. Manchester United could use a stronger squad as inconsistent results are proving that they still have a lot of work to do. Meannwhile, Liverpool could allow Mohamed Salah to leave in January and Manchester City are crying out for another top winger.
Signing someone like Semenyo would help alleviate some of the pressure around Manchester United and Liverpool as they have key attackers like Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Mohamed Salah missing due to the African Cup of Nations.
Does Semenyo have a release clause?
Yes, it has been heavily reported by the likes of Athletic journalist David Ornstein that Semenyo does indeed have a release clause. Semenyo’s contract includes a £65m release clause, and the release clause is available to all clubs. The one bonus for Bournemouth is that it must be triggered by a set date, so he can’t leave on Transfer Deadline Day. The release clause is £65m now, but is £50m in the summer.
