AFCON semi-finals Betting Tips
The end is nearly in sight for the final four teams at the Africa Cup of Nations and it comes as no surprise to see four of the bigger nations reach the semi-finals.
Hosts Morocco topped Group A after collecting seven points from three games and they beat Tanzania 1-0 in the last 16 before outclassing Cameroon 2-0 in the quarter-finals. They will face Nigeria, who enjoyed a 100 per cent record in Group B, before beating Mozambique 4-0 and Algeria 2-0 to reach the last four.
The other semi-final sees Senegal take on Egypt in Tangier. Senegal only just topped Group D, finishing level on seven points alongside DR Congo, but they beat Sudan 3-1 and Mali 1-0 to book their spot in the final four.
Egypt also gained seven points in the group stages, and they beat Benin 3-1 after extra-time and Ivory Coast 3-2 in a thrilling last-eight affair.
AFCON semi-finals Tips
Lions of Teranga to come through entertaining affair
Senegal will look to continue their fine record at AFCON as they try to reach their third final in the last four editions of the tournament.
They faced Egypt in the 2021 final and they will have every belief that they can book their place in Rabat on Sunday.
Pape Thiaw’s team have failed to win just one of their five games at AFCON, scoring 11 times and conceding only two goals.
While Senegal have conceded only against Sudan and DR Congo, they will do well to keep Egypt at bay. Led by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, the Pharaohs have come to life in the knockout stage after scoring just five goals in their group games.
They fired three past the Ivory Coast in the last eight, but there have been signs that Egypt will struggle to live with Senegal’s quality. They were held to a draw by Angola and Benin took them to extra-time, while against the Ivory Coast, they were outshot 13-6.
Senegal have been pretty ruthless throughout the tournament and they should book their spot in the final once again.

Ruthless Morocco to reach home final
Hosts Morocco were the pre-tournament favourites for many as they chase their first AFCON crown since 1976. Walid Regragui’s team have been in incredible form for many months, with the Atlas Lions unbeaten in their last 22 games in all competitions.
Morocco have won 18 of those and they should be able to keep Nigeria at bay. While Nigeria have scored 14 goals so far, they face a Morocco team who have conceded just once at AFCON. They have conceded in only three of their last 15 games and their resilient defence should be able to keep Nigeria quiet.
Nigeria managed to come through their toughest Group C assignment by beating Tunisia 3-2, but they were handed favourable ties against Tanzania and Uganda.
They have scored six and conceded none in the knockout stage, but neither Mozambique nor Algeria are anywhere near the level of Morocco.
Regragui’s team will be roared on by a passionate home crowd and their recent defensive dominance should be apparent from the first whistle in Rabat.
