Pierre Sage is under a lot of pressure at Crystal Palace after they lost 2-0 to Newcastle last weekend. This makes it seven goals conceded and none scored in their last two Premier League games, and has fans worrying about relegation.
Fan pressure and recent results have prompted many of the UK’s best betting sites to price up his eventual replacement.
Next Crystal Palace manager betting odds
The race to become Crystal Palace’s next manager had no clear frontrunner, with nobody shorter than 3/1. That changed overnight, as Sean Dyche’s odds tumbled despite Pierre Sage still being in the job. Thomas Frank, Robbie Keane, Kieran McKenna and Eddie Howe are also in the running.

Who are the favourites to be the next Crystal Palace manager?
Sean Dyche is the favourite to take over if Pierre Sage is sacked, and with Palace conceding freely and looking nervously at the bottom three, the links make sense. Dyche has long been one of the Premier League’s most reliable managers when survival is the aim, leading Burnley to promotion and a European place and keeping Everton up against the odds.
His Forest spell ended in a sacking last season, though he was averaging over a point a game. Even so, a move for him would show Palace have struggled to rebuild since Glasner’s exit, despite having months of warning that he was leaving.
Thomas Frank was leading the betting to become Crystal Palace’s new manager last week, and his links to The Eagles are unsurprising, with reports suggesting that he was among the names to join the South London club in the summer when they were looking for an Oliver Glasner replacement.
Frank did a remarkable job at Brentford, getting them promoted to the Premier League and turning them into a stable mid-table Premier League side. However, his last job at Spurs was a failure, with Frank sacked by the North London club after just eight months in charge.
Kieran McKenna is another name in the running. The Northern Irishman has been out of work since stepping down as Ipswich Town manager in June, having just guided them back to the Premier League with a second-place finish in the Championship. McKenna made his name by taking Ipswich from League One to the Premier League with back-to-back promotions, and while they were relegated after one season, he earned plenty of credit for bringing them straight back up.
Eddie Howe is also available after leaving Newcastle United in July. The 48-year-old spent five years at St James’ Park, guiding the Magpies to Champions League qualification in 2023 and 2025 and winning the 2025 League Cup, the club’s first major domestic trophy in 70 years. Last season was more difficult, with Newcastle finishing 12th, but Howe’s track record, which also includes taking Bournemouth from League Two to the Premier League, makes him one of the most sought-after managers on the market.
