Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Tips
Our betting expert has three Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur tips for Saturday’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford (kick-off, 12.30pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.

- Bet Builder: Most Goals in 2nd Half, Matheus Cunha to score or assist & Dominic Solanke to score anytime @ 8/1
Spurs can spoil Carrick’s party
Michael Carrick has won three from three as Manchester United interim boss and the clamour to see the ex-Red Devils midfielder installed permanently come the summer is starting to grow.
Carrick is also a former Tottenham player and will know his old club are going to prove a stubborn opponent.
Wins over Manchester City and Arsenal came in games United were expected to lose and last weekend’s ultimately dramatic 3-2 success against Fulham showed it can still be folly to wade in on United as favourites. They are 4/7 to account for Tottenham and that looks very short.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s famous ‘Lads, it’s Tottenham’ quip doesn’t quite have the same ring to it these days.
Man Utd are winless in their last six league games against Tottenham Hotspur – losing four meetings last season including the Europa League final in Bilbao.
Not since October 2022 have the Red Devils defeated Spurs and they needed a stoppage-time goal from Matthijs de Ligt to avoid a loss in north London in November despite cruising through much of that contest.
Thomas Frank’s side have started to improve. They came from 0-2 behind to hold Manchester City last Sunday and have scored at least two goals in four successive games.
Both teams have scored in 11 of United’s last 13 games in league and cup and they may have to settle for a point.

Mbeumo can lead by example
Bryan Mbeumo returned from the Africa Cup of Nations to score vital goals in the wins over Man City and Arsenal.
The Cameroonian didn’t hit the net against Fulham, though he spurned one excellent chance.
In his last five games he’s managed 10 shots on target. Mbeumo has scored five Premier League goals in eight appearances against Tottenham, including the opener when the sides drew 2-2 in November.
He looks set for a key role in this lunchtime clash and is fancied to test the visiting netminder a couple of times.

Solanke the Spurs dangerman again
Dominic Solanke’s return from injury has coincided with an upturn in fortunes for Tottenham. The striker has helped himself to four goals in his last four appearances, including the brace that helped his side recover from 0-2 down at the break to rescue a point against City.
The 28-year-old has scored five goals in his last five appearances against Manchester United in all competitions. His audacious leveller against City means that five of Spurs’ last six goals have come after half-time. For United, 10 of their last 12 goals scored have come after the interval.
Solanke has been Spurs’ go-to man and Matheus Cunha is now thriving for the home side.
The Brazilian has been involved in four goals in his last five Premier League games (3 goals, 1 assist) as he starts to settle at Old Trafford following a big-money move from Wolves last summer.
