Typical winner according to past history

According to the analysis of all the past winners and their characteristics since 1956, the typical winner of Eurovision:

- a solo performer (73.2%)
- singing a pop song (44.4%)
- singing in English (50%)
- singing about love & relationships (60.3%)
- is between 25-27 years old (the average age of the past winners is 26.88 and median is 25).
In 2026, three contestants have 5 of the traits which are typical for a Eurovision winner:
- Delta Goodrem (“Eclipse”) representing Australia is a female solo performer who sings a pop song about love, romance & relationships in English.
- DARA (“Bangaranga”) representing Bulgaria is a female solo performer who sings a pop song in English and she is currently 27 years old.

“My System” by FELICIA representing Sweden is currently the second most streamed song on Spotify from this year’s entries with over 17.3 million streams followed by Finland’s entry “Liekinheitin” by Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen with 11.2 million streams.
When looking at the Official YouTube music videos of this year’s contestants, “JALLA” by Antigoni representing Cyprus is currently the most viewed YouTube video with 4.9 million views.
Instagram and TikTok Followers
Sarah Engels (Germany) is the most followed act on Instagram with 1.8 million followers, followed by Delta Goodrem (Australia) with 750K followers and Sal Da Vinci (Italy) with 730K followers.
On TikTok, Germany’s Sarah Engels is once again the most followed act with over 731K TikTok followers and 7.5 million likes across her videos. Italy’s Sal Da Vinci (650K TikTok followers) and Cyprus’ Antigoni (615K TikTok followers) are the second and third most followed 2026 contestants, respectively.
