Being able to trust the tips and reviews we provide at MyBettingSites.co.uk is crucial. We’ve therefore created this page so you can learn more about our content team.

The three of us have been working in the gambling industry for many years, so you’ll hopefully agree that we can be relied on as a source of knowledge when it comes to reviewing UK betting sites and providing the latest betting news and tips.

Meet our team

Ant Vella

I’m the Content Team Lead at MyBettingSites.co.uk and have over 20 years of experience working in the industry.

I’ve produced engaging content and tips for a host of sports and entertainment betting markets.

I have accounts with dozens of UK betting sites, so I write with first-hand experience and know what makes a good place to bet.

I’m knowledgeable when it comes to betting offers, having written the terms for some myself, and am always looking out for the latest good promo to hit the market.

Most memorable winning bets:
Successfully backing the Olympic torch to be blown out on its way round the UK in 2012 at 100/1, and winning £500 from a Last Man Standing competition that Paddy Power ran in 2015.

More recently, it would be betting on Bulgaria to upset the odds at Eurovision, and successfully backing a 2026 World Cup Group Winner 9-leg accumulator at 46/1.

Most memorable near miss:
I still remember reading a very convincing argument as to why Greece would win Euro 2004 at odds of 50/1. I played it safe and backed them to win their group instead.

The rest is history, as they progressed as runners-up before winning the tournament.

Dean Cooke

I’m a Senior Content Manager with MyBettingSites.co.uk.

I’ve been a sports fan for as long as I can remember, so I jumped at the chance to make it part of my working life too.

Nowadays, I enjoy applying a wealth of casino and betting knowledge, alongside my personal experiences with dozens of betting sites, to bring you honest first-hand reviews.

I love a range of sports, following the England cricket and football teams both home and away. But, with the World Cup out of the way, it’s back to the bread and butter of being miserable, following Reading around the country in League One.

Most memorable winning bet:
The best feeling I ever had was when Southampton played Arsenal in 2023.

I’d backed The Saints at 20/1 for £50 and won thanks to the Early Payout, after Carlos Alcaraz and Theo Walcott put them two up after just 14 minutes.

The win felt even sweeter as Arsenal then went on to equalise, courtesy of two very late goals. Southampton hold a place in my heart to this day!

The 2026 World Cup also gave me reason to cheer, when I backed Jordan, Haiti, Panama and Iraq all to end their groups pointless. A £14 stake at odds of over 34/1 paid out just shy of £500, and set me up perfectly for the rest of the tournament.

Luke Seychell

I’m a Content Manager with MyBettingSites.co.uk and have over five years experience writing about a range of sports, and predominantly on football.

I’ve gained plenty of experience using the bookmakers you’ll find on here, so you can be sure of first-hand knowledge when reading my reviews of new betting sites.

Away from work, I’ve enjoyed touring Europe, watching Crystal Palace pick up trophies at will over an unforgettable 12 month period.

I’ll undoubtedly be following them on their travels again this season, after their Conference League win in Leipzig.

Most memorable winning bet: Seeing Eberechi Eze leave Palace was tough, but I’d moved on by last November, backing him to score a brace as part of a 50/1 bet builder.

Thankfully, the match I chose was the North London derby, where he scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory. I daren’t find out what the odds on a hat-trick would’ve been!

Most memorable near miss: This is still a very sore subject. It has to be my 239/1 12-fold acca, predicting the winners of each 2026 World Cup group. Ultimately I was let down by Portugal, which cost me just shy of £250.

I also missed out on a 92/1 9-fold last season, when an in-form Man Utd were held by struggling West Ham.

By now, we hope you’ve learned much more about the team behind the tips, news and betting reviews. You can also find out more about Better Collective, the company that owns MyBettingSites.co.uk, here.
