- On average, the youngest team is the Czech Republic with an average age of 25.307 years old.
- The youngest player of the 2024 tournament is Lamine Yamal (Spain), who is 16 years old.
- Meanwhile, the oldest team, on average, is Scotland with an average age of 28.307 years old.
- The oldest player of the 2024 tournament is Pepe (Portugal), who is 41 years old.
Euro 2024: Average player height
When looking at average height, the shortest team is Spain with an average height of 181.77 cm, while the tallest team is Serbia with an average height of 186.77 cm.
Hungary’s Callum Styles is the shortest player of the tournament - 167 cm - while Vanja Milinković-Savić (Serbia) is the tallest player of the tournament - 202 cm.
Historical Data - Height & Age of winning European Championships squads
When looking at historical data which took into account winning players of the squads going all the way back to the tournament’s first edition, the average age of the winning squads is 26.659375 years old. From this year’s squads, Italy’s average age is the closest to the historical winning age - Italy’s squad is on average 26.538462 years old.
Meanwhile, the historical average height of the winning squads is 180.75 cm, so Spain’s average height of 181.77 cm is the closest to the winning average.
