Juries can carry Australia through
Australia have reacted to missing out on the last two Eurovision finals by calling in their big guns in the form of Delta Goodrem. While the likes of Romania, Ukraine and Denmark could share the majority of viewer votes, Australia has a great opportunity to monopolise the jury vote.

Juries to elevate Malta
Another country that can expect to benefit from the return of juries to the semi-final stage is Malta.

Latvia to struggle again
Latvia is one country that have struggled to made an impression on Eurovision in recent years, securing just one top 10 finish in their last 19 attempts.
Drawn to perform ninth on Thursday night, they will be on stage immediately before Denmark and Australia. Those countries are the two favourites to win the semi, and so there’s a huge danger that Latvia will find themselves completely forgotten when the time comes to vote.
