With the summer transfer window fast approaching, we had the pleasure of catching up with esteemed transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio. He gave us insight into the future of PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, who seems destined for Real Madrid, alongside the future of Brentford striker Ivan Toney. Meanwhile, the upturn in form of Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has led to talk of a move to a cash strapped Barcelona. Di Marzio reveals all exclusively with mybettingsites.co.uk.

  • Mbappe deal to Madrid is already complete
  • Ivan Toney on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester United
  • Jorginho set to renew his contract with Arsenal says Di Marzio

Mbappe deal to Madrid is already complete

Paris St-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe stated that there are “no problems” between himself and coach Luis Enrique. The forward scored twice in their Champions League victory over Real Sociedad which put PSG comfortably into the quarter-finals. Reports suggest there could be tension between the pair after Mbappe confirmed he would be leaving PSG this summer. Mbappe seems destined for Real Madrid and according to Di Marzio the deal has already been completed.

“I think everything is confirmed with Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid. It is completed, it’s only a matter of dates, because everything is agreed. He wanted to join Real Madrid and they wanted him for a long time.

“As we know, he has communicated to PSG that he will not stay there, so everything is arranged. Everything is done.

“He didn’t join Real Madrid because of the money but because of the challenge. He really wanted to join the club.

“Real Madrid wanted him a lot and I’m sure Mbappé felt like their number one target. They think he is the best player in the world, and now they will get him – and then they will try to get Haaland.

“I don’t think it will happen in the summer, but they will for sure try to get him in the future. Real Madrid wants both of them.

Ivan Toney on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester United

Meanwhile, another striker that could be on the move is Brentford striker Ivan Toney. Manager Thomas Frank has admitted that Toney will most likely leave Brentford in the summer. The striker has been linked with a move to Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United. Interestingly, Di Marzio believes Ivan Toney’s move could be a domino effect which will depend on other transfer moves. Other strikers that could be on the move include the likes of Viktor Gyökeres, Victor Osimhen and Dušan Vlahović. Di Marzio claims Arsenal or Manchester United will be Toney’s destination.

“Arsenal, if they don’t get Gyokeres, Toney would be the logical step.

“It depends also on Juventus and Napoli strikers. Napoli will try to get a substitute for Osimhen and Juventus, if they sell Vlahovic, they will try to have a substitute for him.

“Vlahovic can be a striker for the Premier League market. For Arsenal or Chelsea.

“I think Toney is for the Premier League market. He could be at Arsenal or Manchester United if they decide to get a striker like him.”

Arsenal are in contention to win the Premier League title, and the Gunners are priced at 7/2 on Sky Bet to beat the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City to the domestic title.

Jorginho set to renew his contract with Arsenal says Di Marzio

According to recent reports in the media Arsenal star Jorginho would be ‘delighted’ to join Barcelona on a free transfer from Arsenal this summer. But is there any truth to this rumour? The midfielder has recently been in fine form for Arsenal which coincides with their recent burst of goals after a difficult December period.

“I know that it is more likely that Jorginho will stay another year and renew the contract for another year.

“He’s playing very well at the moment so it will be strange that Arsenal will lose the player out of contract.

“He’s staying in London very well, with Arsenal now and Chelsea before. At this moment, if I have to say, it is more likely he will renew the contract and stay there for another year.”
