For fans of The Traitors, the weekend brought exciting news, as the line-up was announced for series two of The Celebrity Traitors.

As with season one, the BBC have managed to attract an impressive band of players.

And there’s more good news, with William Hill taking bets on who the winner will be and whether they’ll be a Traitor or Faithful.

Without further ado, let’s check out who the leading contenders are.

Celebrity Traitors Season 2 Betting Odds: Who will win?

Season one saw a comedian come out on top, in the form of Alan Carr, and the odds from William Hill suggest it could be another stand-up act that comes out on top.

Joanne McNally is the 6/1 joint favourite to become the first woman to win the celebrity version of the show, with Michael Sheen tied on the same odds.

The remaining comedians also feature prominently, with James Acaster (7/1) and Joe Lycett (9/1) sitting just ahead of Miranda Hart (10/1), Romesh Ranganathan (10/1) and Rob Beckett (12/1).

The first person banished in series one was content creator Niko Omilana, and Hills are suggesting season two could follow a similar pattern, with King Kenny priced up as the rank outsider of the field.

Celebrity Traitors Series 2 Betting Odds: Traitors vs Faithful

Alan Carr won season one for Team Traitors, but the early suggestion is that the Faithful will level things up this time round. They’re priced up as the marginal favourites, at 8/11, which converts into a 58% chance using our free odds converter tool.

Celebrity Traitors Season 2 Betting Odds: Who will be The Traitors?

Although William Hill don’t have odds on who’ll be chosen as Traitors, we can still have a good guess at who the most likely candidates are.

If we take the first series as our template, we’re looking for three people – an alpha male, a comedian and a singer.

The likelihood though is that the BBC will be keen to redress the balance of males having most of the power, and so our hunch is for a 2:1 split in favour of women this time round.

If Stephen Fry and Jonathan were vying for the alpha male character 12 months ago, then Richard E Grant or Ross Kemp would appear to be that man this time round. Applying our theory that it’ll be a female calling the shots though, it’s Maya Jama who gets the nod, slightly ahead of Jerry Hall.

The Cat Burns role goes to Leigh-Anne Pinnock of Little Mix fame, to leave us looking for one comedian as the third and final Traitor. And with the last series kicking off with the drama of Alan Carr turning on his close friend Paloma Faith, our choice is for Romesh Ranganathan to be tasked with seeing off his partner in crime Rob Beckett.
