Grand National Betting Tips
Here at My Betting Sites, we’ve studied form, as well as the different runners in the 2022 Grand National, which saves you from doing all the hard work ahead of this year’s meeting at Aintree. Below, you can find some of our betting tips for the 2022 Grand National.
Snow Leopardess @ 8/1 with BetVictor
Snow Leopardess has emerged as one of the favourites to win the 2022 Grand National this year, with her price shortening in recent weeks due to the weather forecast at Aintree this week. It’s set to rain during the week in the lead-up to the Grand National, which is set to play into the hands of Snow Leopardess, who is better suited on heavy ground. It’s no coincidence that punters have shortened her price heading into this year’s race, as she was priced at 22/1 earlier in the year, but is now available at 7/1 with bet365. If there is rain heading into this race, then Snow Leopardess will be the horse to beat.
Burrows Saint @ 22/1 with William Hill
Burrows Saint has shown their quality in the Grand National in the past, having finished fourth in the 2021 Grand National at Aintree. This horse went off at a price of 9/1 last year, but is priced at 22/1 with William Hill this year, and could well be worth an each-way punt this year. It’ll be interesting to see how the potentially heavy ground will suit Burrows Saint.

Finding the Grand National page
The majority of bookmakers have a specific Grand National tab on their home page both on the desktop version of their site and mobile apps on the week of the main event being set to take place. This can be easily found with your chosen bookie, although it’s a little trickier months in advance of the Grand National.
To find the Grand National page earlier on in the year, click the ‘Horse Racing’ tab, before selecting the ‘Future Races/Meetings’ button. Then, choose the ‘Aintree/Grand National’ option, and you’ll be taken to the ante-post betting markets that are available in advance with your chosen bookmaker on the Grand National.
Below, we’ve provided you with screenshots of where to find the Grand National pages for bet365, William Hill, and Ladbrokes.
How to add selections to a betting slip
With each bookmaker, it might be tricky for a new customer to add a selection to a betting slip, but we’ve made it easy for you with a step-by-step guide on how to do exactly this on the 2022 Grand National. We’ve also provided you with a screenshot from Paddy Power, which continues to be one of the leading bookmakers when it comes to horse racing betting.
- Select the ‘Horse Racing’ tab on your chosen bookmaker’s site.
- Select ‘Future Races’, before clicking the ‘Grand National’ option.
- Make your chosen selection for the 2022 Grand National by clicking on the odds of the horse.
- This will then add the selection to your betting slip (providing you’re signed into your account).
- Choose your stake on the bet, and whether you want to place it as a normal single bet, or an each-way bet.
- Click the ‘Place Bet’ option under where you choose your stake, and you will have placed your bet on the Grand National.
It’s hugely important to gamble responsibly, especially if you’re relatively new to the betting industry. Here at My Betting Sites, we’re committed to publicising responsible gambling across our site, as well as providing you with the best betting offers out there.
However, we know that some individuals could be prone to a potential gambling addiction, so we can only emphasise the importance of betting within your specific budgets, and with funds that you can afford to lose. All bookmakers have a feature where you can set daily, monthly, or weekly deposit limits in your accounts, which have often proved popular amongst punters to play games and bet within their own budgets.
Odds are typically displayed as fractions with most bookmakers, although some punters prefer to have their odds displayed as decimals. We’re going to look at odds of 8/1 for an example here.
The first number (8) represents the amount returned for a straight win bet and the second figure is the unit stake needed to generate that potential return. Essentially, you could win £8 for every £1 you bet. If you lose, then the bookmaker keeps your unit stake.
Odds on horse racing events such as the Grand National can fluctuate throughout the year, with bookmakers often taking into account certain factors such as the form of a horse, or the conditions on the day of a race.
The higher the potential return of a bet, the less likely it is that your selection will win, although we have seen some big-priced winners at the Grand National in the past, so the odds don’t always mean everything.
Different Types of Bets
There are many different types of bets that you can wager funds on when it comes to horse racing. Here at My Betting Sites, we’re going to take you through the most popular.
This is the easiest bet to place in horse racing. A single bet involves one horse, and you’d be backing it to win. If it doesn’t win, then your bet is a loser. But if it does, then your bet is a winner.
An each-way bet is a bet which involves covering yourself if your selected horse places within the place betting markets with your chosen bookie. If you bet on an each-way selection, then you’re covering yourself with some insurance if the selection doesn’t win, but places. If they don’t place, then the bet will be settled as a loser.
An accumulator includes four or more selections in one bet. To guarantee a return, all of the selections in an accumulator bet have to win. There could be sizeable returns on offer if they all win, but if one selection loses, then the bet will be a losing one.
This type of bet includes three selections and four bets which are three doubles and a treble. A minimum of two selections must win to guarantee a return on this bet.
A Lucky 15 bet consists of four selections in total within 15 bets. There are four singles, six doubles, four trebles, and a fourfold involved in a Lucky 15 bet, and it remains popular amongst punters due to the potential sizeable return. A £1 bet on a Lucky 15 would cost £15, as you’re betting on 15 separate bets.

A Goliath is a bet on eight selections taking part in various events consisting of 28 doubles, 56 trebles, 70 fourfolds, 56 fivefolds, 28 sixfolds, eight sevenfolds, and an eightfold accumulator adding up to 247 bets in total. To return any winnings, a minimum of two selections are required to win.
Where to live-stream the Grand National
To live-stream the Grand National, you’ll be pleased to hear that there are plenty of different options available to punters. Below, we’ve listed the potential options that you have available to watch the Grand National.
- In-person at your local bookmaker
- Online bookmakers
The majority of leading bookmakers have live-streaming of horse racing events accessible throughout the year, and the Grand National is no different. However, it’s important to read the potential wagering requirements that are needed to be met before gaining access to a live stream with your chosen bookmaker.
For more detail on Grand National live-streaming, head over to our dedicated page.
How to withdraw your winnings
To withdraw your winnings, it’s an easy process with the majority of leading bookmakers. We’re going to take you through a step-by-step process with Betfair, which is a bookie that is hugely popular when it comes to betting on the Grand National.
- Click here to be directed to Betfair.
- Sign into your account using the username and password you signed up with.
- Click the ‘My Account’ button at the top of the screen.
- Select the ‘My Betfair Account’ option.
- Choose the ‘Withdraw Funds’ option, which is pictured halfway down the page.
- Choose how much you want to withdraw from your Betfair account, before selecting the payment method you wish to withdraw the funds to.
- Click the ‘Withdraw’ button, which will be yellow once you’ve entered the amount you wish to withdraw.
How to bet in-person
If you’re not familiar with mobile betting apps or betting online, then you can still bet in-person on sporting events across the globe. Various bookmakers are still open in shops across the country, and they’ll be able to provide you with all the bets that you wish to wager funds on, especially the 2022 Grand National, which is a hugely popular event to get involved with.
If you wish to place bets in person at your local bookie, then their staff will be able to give you all the help and information you need whilst in the shop. To find your nearest bookmaker, head over to this page!
