Liverpool vs Man City team news and lineups

Liverpool are riding on the crest of the wave at the moment, but they do have a couple of new injury concerns to contend with. Both Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate picked up knocks during the victory over Real Madrid, and are rated as serious doubts for the weekend. Fortunately for Arne Slot, Trent Alexander-Arnold is ready to return, so any issues at right-back should be avoided, while Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah provide adequate centre-back cover in the absence of Konate. Elsewhere, Alisson is still missing in goal, while Diogo Jota's rib injury means Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo could both benefit in attacking roles.

For Manchester City, the continued absence of both Rodri and Mateo Kovacic means Pep Guardiola must continue to scratch his head for a solution in the middle of the park. The likes of Rico Lewis, John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan could all be tried there. Further forward, the time may be right to restore Kevin de Bruyne to the starting lineup.
