It’s a chance for players to show their worth and for Thomas Tuchel to see what squad he wants to take to the USA. Have a look at our betting tips for the game, as well as the Betano’s sign up offer, which sees you get £30 in football free bets.

Albania vs England betting tips

Our betting expert has three Albania vs England tips for Sunday’s World Cup qualifying match at the Air Albania Stadium, Tirana (kick-off, 5pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.

England can sign-off with perfect record

This fixture is a dead-rubber for both sides as England have already booked their ticket to next summer’s World Cup and Albania have got the play-off spot secured.

There is an opportunity here for both managers to tinker with their teams and that does add an element of uncertainty, but ultimately England have the quality and depth to beat whatever team Albania put out convincingly, even if Thomas Tuchel opts for wholesale changes.

The Three Lions have been perfect during this qualification cycle in what is admittedly a fairly weak group. England have seven wins in seven games, have scored 20 goals in the process and are yet to concede.

When these sides met in the reverse fixture back in March, England recorded a routine 2-0 win and restricted the Kuqezinjtë to just three shots – none of which were on target.

Albania have claimed second place despite a modest goal scoring record with just seven strikes in as many games.

The hosts drew a blank against Serbia in a goalless draw earlier in qualifying, and failed to score in home games against the Czech Republic and Georgia last year so a bet on England to win to nil looks a good way to get a bit of value out of backing the clear favourites.

Eze can make his case for starting spot

Tuchel will probably make a few changes to his team and Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze has surely done enough to start for the first time since September’s win over Andorra.

Eze scored after coming off the bench for the second game in a row with his strike against Serbia, having grabbed a goal in the 5-0 mauling of Latvia last month.

The 27-year-old has three goals in five appearances in limited minutes during qualifying and as a 5/2 chance he looks good value to add to his England haul on Sunday.

Kane can get back among the goals

Harry Kane had an underwhelming game against Serbia but the captain can respond with a strike against Albania, if he remains in the starting XI for this game of little consequence.

Kane has scored six goals during qualifying and has been in fine form for club side Bayern Munich this season, and he’ll be on spot kick duties.

As a single bet an Eze goal looks a strong option but for the purposes of this bet builder one attempt on target will do. The Arsenal ace has three goals in 190 minutes of action and is averaging an incredible 4.3 shots on target per 90 minutes during this qualification campaign.

Phil Foden is another player who should come into the starting side after impressing from the bench against Serbia.

The recalled midfielder will be keen to make a statement and he’s been fairly accurate at club level with Man City, particularly in the Champions League where he averages 1.7 shots on target per-game and 2.7 shots per-game in total.

Albania may not get too many opportunities but as an outside option a shot on target for Kristjan Asllani stands out.

The Torino midfielder scored against Andorra last time out and averages 2.1 shots per-game in qualifying, with a third of his attempts recorded as on target.
