Anders Limpar on Everton’s struggles, Calvert-Lewin and Jarrad Branthwaite

Updated on

MyBettingSites had an opportunity to speak with former Everton midfielder and Swedish midfielder Anders Limpar who shared his thoughts on Everton’s current struggles, what he envisions for Dominic Calvert-Lewin as well as the future of Everton’s highly coveted Jarrad Branthwaite who has been continuously been linked with a move to Manchester United.

  • Jarrad Branthwaite: Everton’s Rising Star Urged to Delay Big-Move Ambitions

Dyche Can’t Work Miracles, But He’s the Right Man for Everton

Sean Dyche’s position as Everton manager has been shrouded in uncertainty since the arrival of the club’s new owners alongside the struggles of Dyche’s side who currently find themselves sitting 16th in the league. Everton have now gone three games without a win and will be desperate to ensure that they will still be in the Premier League when they grace their new stadium come next season. Despite some worries for Everton’s safety amongst the Everton fan base for their safety, Anders Limpar is of the belief that Sean Dyche is the right man for Everton despite claiming to not see a visible game plan. He urges Everton fans to show patience during this difficult period for the club.

“Sean Dyche is the right manager for the club right now. Everton are struggling when it comes to collecting points and I can see we are already playing survival football. I can’t really see the game plan we’re trying to use.

“But when it comes to Sean Dyche I rate him. He will pick Everton back up and get them to the middle table. A lot of Everton fans want a new era with a new stadium and owners but they need to have patience. Nobody can be a magician. He can’t be a magician.”

Calvert-Lewin is a 25-Goal Striker with the Right Support

However, Limpar believes with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Iliman Ndiaye, Everton have enough quality to evade relegation issues, He urges Dyche to pair Calvert-Lewin and Ndiaye together which will enable Everton to not only score more goals but could also unlock Calvert-Lewin who he believes is a 25-30 goal a season striker.

“I also think they’re playing the wrong system. They should play 4-4-2. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin, he’s a great striker but doesn’t get the service or the chances. He needs service. Especially when you play upfront alone.

“Ndiaye is a revelation and he should play up front with Calvert-Lewin and they will score more goals. Dominic is so isolated up there alone.

“Some of the players cross the ball for the sake of crossing rather than having a plan of where to cross the ball. If Dominic had two unbelievable players around him, he’s a 25-30 goals a season player easily.”

Jarrad Branthwaite: Everton’s Rising Star Urged to Delay Big-Move Ambitions

Meanwhile, Everton centre-half Jarrad Branthwaite who has struggled with injuries so far this season has been linked with moves to both Manchester United and Liverpool in recent weeks. United are known and well documented admirers having made several underwhelming bids in the summer. Limpar claims Branthwaite shouldn’t rush to leave Everton as he will have his pick of which teams he wants to join. Instead, Limpar encourages him to help solidify Everton as a stable Premier League club before seeking new pastures.

“He can pick any team in the world. He can pick any team in the Premier League. Everton had Stones and sold him to City and became one of the world’s best prospects. The players who leave Everton always go on too well but he should stay at Everton and make the club solid as a team and as a club.

“He shouldn’t leave right now. I would like for him to stay at the club a few more years and help Everton and then get his move. He is going to play for big clubs in his career when he wants.”
