Wembley showpiece to be close
Arsenal will hope to complete the first leg of a possible quadruple on Sunday when they face Manchester City in the final of the EFL Cup at Wembley, but Mikel Arteta’s team may not be able to complete the job within 90 minutes.
The Gunners have lost just two matches since the end of August and are firmly in charge of the Premier League title race, nine points ahead of the Citizens, but this is one occasion where the value could lie in the game at least going to extra-time.
The pair shared two goals when they met at the Emirates in September and it is worth remembering that the Londoners have won just two of their last 14 games against City.
Pep Guardiola’s side have drawn recent league games against Nottingham Forest and West Ham, which have allowed Arsenal to take control, but the Wembley surroundings could lead to a cagey atmosphere.
Five of the last seven finals have featured fewer than three goals and this one could follow suit, which makes the draw good value at 11/5.

Silva could fall foul of officials again
Bernardo Silva is a regular in the City starting line-up and the fact he played 90 minutes in the first leg of the semi-final against Newcastle suggests he should be involved on Sunday.
The Portuguese midfielder will be looking for redemption after he was sent off for the first time this season in the 2-1 midweek Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
His dismissal came in the 19th minute, which suggests there should be no fatigue issues and he has been cautioned 13 times for City this season, including in the 1-1 draw at the Emirates in September.
Silva also picked up a yellow card at Arsenal in last term’s league visit and there looks a strong chance he could be booked again on Sunday.

Eze could have his shooting boots on
While Arsenal beat City 5-1 at home in the league last season, this game has all the ingredients of being a cagey affair and four of the Gunners’ last five matches have all featured fewer than three goals.
Arteta’s side have conceded more than once in just one of their last 13 games and have become the masters of grinding our positive results, so this may not be a goal-filled encounter.
Midfielder Eberechi Eze has had a bit of a stop-start season since his move the the Emirates from Crystal Palace, but he has been a regular in the EFL Cup line-up and looks likely to get his opportunity.
Take him to have at least two shots in 90 minutes after he had seven goal attempts in his last league outing against Everton and three in Tuesday’s Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen.
