Arsenal vs Man Utd Tips
Our betting expert has three Arsenal vs Manchester United tips for Sunday, January 25 in the Premier League at Emirates Stadium (kick-off 4.30pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.
- Arsenal to win by one goal @ 11/4
- Leandro Trossard to score or assist @ 20/21
- Both teams to receive two or more cards @ 13/8
Gunners can grind out another vital success
It’s a little too premature to say that Manchester United have completely turned a corner, but their dynamic performance in last weekend’s derby was far removed from what they had been serving up for most of the campaign.
United played with much more freedom and verve in their 2-0 win over Manchester City – but a trip to league leaders Arsenal should be a litmus test of whether their derby win was a flash in the pan or the start of something more tangible under interim manager Michael Carrick.
Arsenal have not been blowing teams away but they have continued to pick up points as their closest title challengers, City and Aston Villa, have fluffed their lines.
Tuesday’s ruthlessly efficient win at Inter Milan in the Champions League was more like it from the Gunners, who have drawn their last two league games 0-0.
Eight of Arsenal’s 15 Premier League wins, including at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season, have been by a single goal and another tight Gunners win could be on the cards at the Emirates.
Arsenal vs Manchester United tip 1: Arsenal to win by one goal @ 11/4

Trossard a big-game player
Leandro Trossard is steadily becoming one of Arsenal’s most important players with a string of crucial interventions in the biggest games.
The Belgian was on target in both of the Gunners’ league meetings with Villa, as well as in a 4-1 home win over Tottenham, and he may have a big say on Sunday’s meeting with United.
In addition to his five league goals, Trossard has weighed in with three assists and one goal in the Champions League.
Arsenal vs Manchester United tip 2: Leandro Trossard to score or assist @ 20/21
Emirates showdown could be fiery
Games between Arsenal and United, especially when Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson were in charge, were often ill-tempered affairs.
That may have had something to do with the fact they were invariably going head to head for the Premier League title, but Sunday’s meeting could be spicy in its own right.
There were five cards shown in the pair’s meeting at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season, while referee Andy Madley brandished seven yellows and a red when the Red Devils beat the Gunners on penalties in the third round of last season’s FA Cup.
The cards line is set at 3.5, but take a punt on both sides receiving at least two at 13/8.
