Arsenal to continue to surprise

Arsenal have surprised many in this year’s Champions League, and they’re just three games away from clinching their first Champions League title.

Their eye-opening run to this stage of the competition has caught the eye for all the right reasons, and it will somewhat make up for the fact that the Gunners missed out on the Premier League title after some poor results in their league campaign.

However, they beat Real Madrid over two legs in the Champions League quarter-final, and beat the Spanish giants 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of that tie. Declan Rice netted a stunning brace from two free-kicks, and will have a key role to play against PSG.

The Arsenal home crowd made it tough for the opposition to settle, and you can expect to see similar on Tuesday evening. PSG certainly aren’t as strong away from home, and if Mikel Arteta’s side are anywhere near the best in this one, then we expect them to edge out the French side.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard have impressed in recent weeks, and will provide the PSG defence with plenty of problems to try and nullify this week.

Dembele to prove promlematic

Ousmane Dembele has been in excellent form in front of goal in the UEFA Champions League, with the Frenchman having seven goals from his 12 Champions League matches to date.

The tricky winger also has 12 league goals to his name in Ligue 1, which makes for hugely impressive viewing.

By his high standards, Dembele is on a slight goalscoring drought, as he’s without a goal in his last five matches in all competitions. However, he has chipped in with an assist in both legs of their quarter-final clash with Aston Villa.

Dembele is a real threat with his pace, and if he’s given an opportunity in front of goal, he’s more than likely to get on the scoresheet for the French giants at the Emirates Stadium.

Mendes’ discipline to come under fire

Mendes is likely to be a busy man on Tuesday evening, as he comes up against Bukayo Saka.

Saka’s is Arsenal’s talisman, and is likely to see plenty of the ball, as they look to make a winning start to the first-leg of this semi-final tie in the Champions League.

Saka was fouled by Ipswich Town’s Leif Davis in Saka’s most recent league start, which resulted in Davis being shown a straight red card after a VAR check.

Mendes is PSG’s most booked player this season with three yellow cards to his name, and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see him adding to that tally against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
