Gunners can extend advantage
Arsenal don’t need to win or even draw their second-leg match against PSV and head coach Mikel Arteta can even afford to be cautious with his team selection given his side’s six-goal advantage.
Even so, the Gunners won’t want to meekly allow the visitors to come back at them in the second leg and they have regularly raised their game at home in this competition.

Return leg may not be a non-event
With Arsenal having merely to avoid disaster to advance to the last eight, many fans may be expecting a tame second leg with both managers just willing the clock to reach 90 minutes.

Saibari could strike for visitors
The outcome of the tie may no longer be in question but plenty of players still have an incentive to impress and none more so than PSV midfielder Ismael Saibari.
The Moroccan was linked with a move to Europe’s top clubs including Arsenal long before the teams were drawn to face each other and he should be keen to showcase his talent to everyone at the Emirates.
The Spanish-born star turned down the chance to play his international football for Belgium, where he grew up, but has made a big impression for PSV this season, scoring 10 goals, including strikes against Juventus (in two separate matches) and Liverpool in the Champions League this season.
He opened the scoring in PSV’s 2-1 win over Heerenveen on Saturday and looks a big price to add to his tally at the Emirates.
