BMW PGA Championship Betting Tips
It’s the 71st edition of the famous tournament, with two-time champion Billy Horschel back to defend the title he won 12 months ago.
The American will be joined in the field by several European Ryder Cup stars, including Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood.

Lowry can bring back golden Wentworth memories
Shane Lowry’s Wentworth win back in 2022 may have been over a shortened 54-holes, but rounds of 66, 68 and 65 showed how well suited he is to this challenge.
The Irishman challenged again in 2024, thanks to first and final rounds of 67, but he eventually finished in a tie for 12th.
Lowry has been boosted by a captain’s pick for this month’s Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black and he will be keen to go into that event in good form.
The 38-year-old showed some positive signs at last week’s Irish Open, where he finished 10 shots back of winner McIlroy.
The man from County Offaly started the week with a 69 and celebrated a second-shot eagle in round two, but didn’t have much joy on the greens and will hope for better fortune this week.

Rai has impressive PGA record
Aaron Rai has threatened to add this tournament to his three professional titles over the last couple of years.
The Englishman finished in a tie for second two years ago, when he lost by a stroke to New Zealand’s Ryan Fox.
Rai carded four sub-70 rounds that week to finish on -17 and repeated that feat in 2024, but this time a 271 score was only good enough to finish T4.
The 30-year-old heads into this year’s Wentworth event off the back of a successful year on the PGA Tour, where he has recorded two top-10s and six top-20 finishes.
Rai finished 11th in the Tee to Green stats in America and if he can find the speed of the greens this week, he has every chance to claim the €1.37million first prize.
Hidalgo offers big-price chance
We have seen in flashes what Angel Hidalgo is capable of and there was another indication of that at last week’s Irish Open.
The Spaniard made 12 birdies in the third round at the K Club to equal a DP World Tour single-round record.
He eventually finished fourth, just two shots behind the leaders, so will head to Wentworth full of confidence.
The 27-year-old finished T57 in the BMW PGA Championship last year, which would have been a lot better but for a final-round 75.
Hidalgo has shown he has the ability to mix it with the best, having beaten Rahm in a play-off to take the Spanish Open title in 2024.
