Bournemouth vs Manchester United Betting Tips
Our betting expert has three Bournemouth vs Manchester United tips for Friday’s Premier League match at the Vitality Stadium (kick-off, 8pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.
- Manchester United to win @ 11/10
- Bruno Fernandes anytime assist @ 12/5
- Bet Builder – Benjamin Sesko to score, Only Manchester United to score in the game and Bruno Fernandes 3+ shots @ 25/1
Impressive United to stay on a Carrick roll
United’s fine form under interim manager Michael Carrick should continue when they travel to Bournemouth on Friday.
The Red Devils are now very much in the box seat for a top-four finish in the Premier League after a run of seven wins in nine since Carrick took over from the much-maligned Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
Last week’s impressive, no-nonsense, success over fellow Champions League contenders Aston Villa was the latest demonstration that United’s players have totally bought into the former midfielder’s methods – much quicker and with a greater collective spirit than they did under Amorim.
Away from home, Carrick has found it a little trickier, drawing with West Ham and losing at Newcastle recently, but the Cherries represent weaker opposition than those two teams at present, with Andoni Iraola’s side sleepwalking their way to yet another mid-table finish.
Bournemouth have now drawn their last four league games – three of them 0-0 – and even though they clearly remain tough to beat, United’s greater desire to continue their upward trajectory and attempt to secure a top-four place in the weeks that remain should see them over the line in this clash.

Bruno to steal the show again
There has been plenty of plaudits coming Bruno Fernandes’ way this season and the Portuguese playmaker could be in contention for player of the season awards if he finishes the campaign strongly and helps guide United into those coveted top four places.
Fernandes last weekend overtook David Beckham as Manchester United’s most prolific provider of assists in a single Premier League season – his two against Aston Villa in the 3-1 win taking him onto 16.
Fernandes has been the Red Devils’ inspiration for several seasons now and he can do the business against the Cherries as well.
Fernandes is odds-against to either score or assist on the south coast so it’s in the assist market where the value lies.
With all the talk of him being United’s best-ever goal creator in the modern era now, it would be no surprise to see the 31-year-old again set up one of his team-mates on Friday evening.
Fernandes scored and assisted in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford in the crazy 4-4 draw in December and he is likely to be performing his familiar routine under the lights at the Vitality.

Sesko to shine in one-sided affair
Benjamin Sesko to score is the starting point for this three-leg Bet Builder. The Slovenia international is having a solid first season at United, with his goal after coming on against Villa last time his 10th in all competitions.
Sesko has hit five goals in his last seven appearances and should be sided with to score on Friday too.
Then adding in only United to score on the night boosts things further. United have scored in every game Carrick has been in charge of, while Bournemouth, in contrast, have failed to find the back of the net in three of their last four matches and it’s only Newcastle in the current top 10 in the top flight who have scored fewer than them across the whole campaign.
Finally, Bruno Fernandes is tipped to have at least three shots against the Cherries – a Bet Builder inclusion that takes this selection up to a very tasty 25/1.
This is something Fernandes managed last week against Villa, while he ended the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the start of the month having had four shots.
Fernandes is a prolific shooter in games – he has had three or more shots in a total of 16 games for club and country already this season.
