Celtic Park will remain a fortress
Celtic have a dominant home record against Rangers over recent seasons.
The Bhoys are unbeaten in their last eight games at Celtic Park against their city rivals, winning each of the last seven of those matches.
Rangers last won an Old Firm game on enemy territory back in 2020 and nothing points to them reversing that run.
They have recently appointed Barry Ferguson as interim manager following the sacking of Philippe Clement, but the club legend has yet to turn around their form.
Rangers lost 2-1 to Motherwell in their first Premiership home match under their new boss and they were defeated again at Ibrox by Fenerbahce in midweek, before progressing to the quarter-finals of the Europa League on penalties.
Celtic will have had a week to rest since their last game, compared to the mere two days of their opponents, who played for over 120 gruelling minutes on Thursday.
We should see another home win at Celtic Park, though with Rangers having scored six times in their last two games against their foes, they could get on the scoresheet.
Celtic vs Rangers Tip 1: Celtic to win and both teams to score @ 2/1 with bet365
Maeda is the man in form
Daizen Maeda is having a great season for Celtic, finding the net 27 times in 41 games.
The Japanese forward was on target again last weekend in a 2-0 home win over Hibernian, to continue his scoring streak.
As impressive as his overall record is this season, his recent form has been particularly outstanding.
Maeda has scored 12 goals in his last 10 games and he looks generously priced to find the net again, having already done so twice against Rangers in this campaign.
Celtic vs Rangers Tip 2: Daizen Maeda to score @ 5/4 with bet365
Yellow peril common in Old Firm derby
Rangers’ game against Fenerbahce was a bad-tempered affair in which they alone picked up six yellow cards within regular time.
It is not hard to imagine there being plenty more yellows shown on Sunday, as this fiercest of rivalries resumes.
When these sides last met there were only four cards handed out, but there were eight in the 90 minutes of the Scottish League Cup final and then three more in extra time.
Back in September the last Old Firm game at Celtic Park saw nine players see yellow, so a total of six or above being shown seems a fair assumption for Sunday.
Celtic vs Rangers Tip 3: Over 5.5 cards @ 10/11 with bet365
