Stamford Bridge set for Saturday evening goalfest
Chelsea have struggled to find form, picking up just one point from their last three Premier League fixtures, while Liverpool followed their first league defeat of the season at Crystal Palace with a midweek loss to Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Predicting a winner on Saturday is tricky, but one thing looks likely: goals. Seven of Liverpool’s 10 matches so far this season have seen at least three goals, and over 3.5 goals has landed in four of Chelsea’s games, including last weekend’s 3-1 defeat to Brighton.
Chelsea’s defensive woes continue, with Levi Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Wesley Fofana all sidelined and Trevoh Chalobah suspended, which could leave them exposed at the back. Last season’s Stamford Bridge clash ended 3-1 in Chelsea’s favour, and given the current form and personnel issues, this encounter looks set to produce plenty of action in front of goal.

Referee Taylor could be in the spotlight
Chelsea’s recent struggles have been compounded by disciplinary issues, with the Blues seeing a player sent off in three of their last four matches, including defeats to Manchester United and Brighton.
Since the start of last season, no Premier League team has collected more cards than Enzo Maresca’s side (114 yellows and four reds). Liverpool, while yet to see a red card this season, have already accumulated 13 yellows, placing them among the six teams with the most cautions, one of which is Chelsea.
With both teams desperate to bounce back, tensions are likely to run high, and referee Anthony Taylor may have his hands full controlling a fiery contest.

Salah could return to form
Both teams have scored in each of the last four league meetings between these sides and that trend can continue on Saturday, with Chelsea lacking in defensive options and Liverpool looking less than watertight at the back, conceding in each of their last five games.
These two sides combined for 11 yellow cards in their two meetings last season and with both featuring high on the list of teams with most bookings this term, another five can be expected in what could be a spicy encounter.
Completing this bet builder, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah may not have been in the best of form this season, but he could have a major say against his former club.
Last season’s leading scorer in the Premier League should be fresh after being restricted to a substitute role against Galatasaray and his record against Chelsea is good, with 12 goal involvements in 24 previous meetings with the west Londoners.
