Emmanuel Eboué issues Liverpool title verdict ahead of Spurs clash

Updated on

Liverpool are set to clinch the Premier League title this weekend, with a point against Tottenham being good enough to secure it for Arne Slot’s side.

This recent permutation came after Arsenal were forced to settle for a point against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium, with Jean-Philippe Mateta’s late equaliser being enough for the visitors to steal a point from the Gunners.

That result means that Arsenal find themselves 12 points adrift of Liverpool in the top-flight standings, and the Reds will fancy their chances of securing the title this weekend at Anfield.

They’re up against a Spurs side that have had a season to forget this term, with Ange Postegoclou’s men being 16th in the table heading in to this match, which will make for dismal viewing heading into the final few matches of the 2024/25 league campaign.

In a recent interview with MyBettingSites, Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboué didn’t feel as though Liverpool have been lucky this season, and labelled them as a ‘good team and a big club’.

“I don’t think Liverpool have been lucky at all. They’re always ready to fight for the league every season and it doesn’t matter who they’re up against.

“This year they did well to win the league even if Arsenal and City have had injuries. They’re in the top four every season. They’re a good team and a big club.”

Liverpool are priced at 27/100 on bet365 to beat Tottenham this weekend, in what should be a relatively one-sided contest, especially considering that the Reds have everything to play for still at this stage of the season.
