Omega European Masters Betting Tips
With European Ryder Cup skipper Luke Donald revealing his six captain’s picks for the event at Bethpage Black in September on Monday, this tournament presents the final chance to impress the Englishman.
Matt Wallace is the defending champion this week, having overcome Alfredo Garcia-Heredia in a play-off 12 months ago, and he is aiming to become the first player to retain this title since Matt Fitzpatrick in 2018.
Rai to make late Ryder Cup surge
Although Aaron Rai has failed to enter the winner’s circle this year, he still managed to qualify for the FedEx Cup play-offs and missed out on a place in the BMW Championship by just three places.
The Englishman remains a reliable player from tee-to-green, as he ranks second in driving accuracy and 12th in greens in regulation on the PGA Tour, while he is 19th in DA and seventh in GIR on the DP World Tour.
Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club is only 6,823 yards in length, and it will play shorter than that given it is at altitude, so this is a test of solid course management and providing consistent chances to hit plenty of greens.
If missing the dance floor, the ability to get up and down will also be crucial and it bodes well that Rai, who will take positives from last week’s tied-33rd finish at the British Masters, is 11th in scrambling on the DP circuit.
- European Masters Tip 1: Aaron Rai @ 14/1
- Free-to-play football and racing predictors
- Part-own a horse with Coral Racing Club
Nakajima to make bold Switzerland showing
Japanese male golfers may not be being produced as quickly as they are in the women’s game, but one prominent player from the Land of the Rising Sun on the men’s circuit is Keita Nakajima, who broke his DP World Tour duck at the 2024 Hero Indian Open.
The 25-year-old was struggling for form over recent weeks until his fourth-placed finish at The Belfry on Sunday, his best result since ending up second on his Indian Open title defence.
It’s also worth noting the tied-11th result for the world number 121 at the Alpine Open, which is played at a short, fiddly course that demands accuracy on approach and a solid short game.
Nakajima is 15th in driving accuracy and in the top 30 for both greens in regulation and scrambling, and if he takes to this challenge on his Crans-sur-Sierre debut, then he could be in with a chance of glory.
- European Masters Tip 2: Keita Nakajima @ 45/1
- Stake as little as 5p to benefit from new customer offer
- Recent site refresh has made navigation far more friendly
Parry to get in the mix
John Parry has been building momentum nicely over the last couple of months, starting with a tied-16th effort at The Open at Royal Portrush – his best Major finish.
The 38-year-old followed that up with a share of third at the Nexo Championship, and although he never really got going at last week’s British Masters when tied-43rd, his confidence levels will still be high.
Parry is 4th in strokes gained approach, 19th in greens in regulation and 16th in SG tee-to-green, while he also has a scrambling ranking of 23rd, and his game looks perfect for this course.
- European Masters Tip 3: John Parry @ 50/1 with AK Bets
- Regularly offer market leading odds
- Instant withdrawals and rapid customer service if needed
