Everton vs West Ham Betting Tips

Toffees to pile more pressure on Potter
Nine places and four points separate these two teams going into Monday’s clash, with Everton enjoying life in new surroundings.
The Toffees have collected four points from their opening two matches at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with a victory over Brighton followed by a draw with Aston Villa.
The most significant stat from those two fixtures is the fact that David Moyes’ men are yet to concede a goal at their new home, as they prepare to face a West Ham team struggling for confidence.
The Hammers have lost four of their opening five games and currently have the worst defensive record in the top flight, having leaked 13 goals to date.
There were just two goals across the two match-ups last season, with this fixture ending in a 1-1 draw, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see another tight affair on Monday.
In three of the Irons’ five Premier League games this season, Graham Potter’s men have been level at 0-0 at half-time.

Hosts can take second-half spoils
There have been 18 goals in West Ham’s opening five league fixtures, with 13 of those being scored at the break.
In Everton’s matches to date, five of the 11 goals have come in the second half – including their goal in last weekend’s Merseyside derby defeat at Anfield.
Second halves have also proved crucial in recent head-to-head encounters between these teams, with one win each and two draws in their last four match-ups.
Both of the goals in last season’s meetings came in the second half, as did all five goals in the two matches in the 2023-24 campaign.

Wingers hold the key for Everton
Everton’s two most impressive players so far this season have been the wide players – Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye.
On-loan Grealish leads the Premier League for assists, recording four across the opening five games, including two in the home win over Brighton.
Meanwhile, Ndiaye leads the league in Duels Won (41) and he scored the first ever competitive goal at the new Everton stadium.
The former Sheffield United man looks set to pose a real threat to the West Ham left-back, with El Hadji Diouf likely to start there.
The Senegal international was booked in the defeat to Crystal Palace last week and looks a prime candidate to be cautioned on Monday night.
West Ham have struggled defending corners this season and it won’t be a surprise to see Moyes’ squad target that weakness.
Everton beat Villa 10-3 on the corner count in their last home match and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them rack up a similar number in this clash.
