There is a bit of an end-of-term feel in the PGA Tour as we enter the final month of 2025. The mixed-gender Grant Thornton Invitational is still to come, but we head to the Bahamas this week for the Hero World Challenge, where there is a familiar name at the head of the market. This is a 20-player tournament and world number one Scottie Scheffler heads into battle having won the last two gatherings on the islands. Read on for our predictions around the competition.
Hero World Challenge Each-Way Places & Free Bets
Predictably, Open champion Scottie Scheffler is a short price to end his year on a high with a hat-trick, but such is his dominance that he could still represent some value, while others among the decent field could also make their presence felt. At the moment, the most each-way places that betting sites are offering to payout is four, but that could change, so keep an eye out.

Hero World Challenge golf betting tips
Rested Scheffler can still take command
Scheffler cast a disconsolate figure the last time he was seen in competitive action at the Ryder Cup at the end of September, but punters will not be concerned that he is rusty when he lines up to defend his hero World Challenge title this week.
It was a similar story last year when he had not been seen since the Tour Championship, which was an even longer break, and he still rocked up and took the field apart, winning by six shots.
The course at Albany Golf Club is quite straightforward and with little rough there is a chance for players to be aggressive, which should play into Scheffler’s hands.
He claims almost impeccable form figures of 2-2-1-1 at the venue and came home in front in his last tournament, the Procure Championship, having given the field a head start following an opening 70.
The Texan is used to being in the winners’ circle and he is plainly the man to beat this week.
MacIntyre may make the mix
While Scheffler has had his feet up for the last few weeks, one player who has been busy is Robert MacIntyre and he heads to the Bahamas in fine fettle.
The Scottish Ryder Cup hero has had a strong autumn with a victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links, which he followed with top-ten finishes at both the Abu Dhabi and DP World Tour Championships.
He has had a taste of what Albany has to offer after he finished seventh on his debut last year and even though he was 14 shots behind the winner, that should stand him in good stead and he can make a bolder show this time.
Great chance for Rose to blossom
Masters runner-up Justin Rose is a player a little further down the list who could be about to end the year on a high and he deserves to be respected.
The former US Open champion won the FedEx St Jude in August and heads to the Bahamas in decent nick having finished 14th at the DP World Tour Championship.
He also has some solid Albany form in the book as he has finished in the top five on his last three visits with his 2019 third the best of that bunch, so the Englishman could offer some good value for a potential end-of-year payout.
