India vs Pakistan Betting Tips and Predictions
Our betting expert has three India vs Pakistan tips for the T20 World Cup clash between these two rivals. Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.
- Jasprit Bumrah top India wicket-taker @ 13/5
- Sahibzada Farhan top Pakistan runscorer @ 13/5
- Bet-builder: India to win, Usman Tariq top Pakistan wicket-taker, Babar Azam under 20.5 runs @ 12/1
Bumrah can be key for Men in Blue
India and Pakistan have both won their first two games of this year’s T20 World Cup, with Pakistan surviving a scare against the Netherlands to secure a three-wicket success before running out 32-run winners against the United States.
India have secured dominant wins over the United States and Namibia to set up this blockbuster pool clash.
Jasprit Bumrah took 1/20 in their win over Namibia but could star in this clash considering his success against Pakistan in the past.
The star pacer took 3/14 the last time that these two teams met in the T20 World Cup as India managed to defend a lowly total of 119 and he is fancied to be their top-wicket taker once more in this one.
While the spinners are of interest on this pitch, it means that Bumrah has become a backable price given the fact that he is arguably the most skilful bowler in the world.

Farhan to star
One player who has had success for Pakistan against Jasprit Bumrah is Sahibzada Farhan, who has 51 runs at a strike rate of 150 without being dismissed against India’s star pacer.
When these two teams met in three games in last year’s Asia Cup, Farhan managed totals of 40, 58 and 57 in those matches.
He has continued that strong form into this T20 World Cup, making knocks of 73 and 47, and he is fancied to lead the way for Pakistan once again in this crucial clash.

Format does not suit Azam
India have been in dominant form in their two games at this year’s T20 World Cup and are fancied to get the better of rivals Pakistan in this match.
The Men in Blue have won nine of the last 10 head-to-heads in all formats and six of the last seven meetings between the pair in T20 cricket. Despite the fact that there have been a number of shocks already in this tournament, this clash looks unlikely to produce one.
Pakistan’s Usman Tariq has attracted some controversy due to his bowling style but the spinner continues to be effective and could be Pakistan’s top wicket-taker on a pitch which should welcome spin.
Tariq has taken 14 wickets in his last five games and his unusual style should cause issues for the Indian batters.
Babar Azam has long been the talisman for this Pakistan side but recently it is increasingly looking like T20 is not a format which suits him. The 31-year-old lacks the gears to up the tempo, which saw him have a disappointing stint in the BBL for Sydney Sixers.
In total, Azam has made more than 20 only four times in his last 10 innings and many of those instances came against bowling attacks less talented than these Indian ones, side with him to go under 20.5 runs.
