Saturday’s ITV Racing Betting Tips

12.40 Cheltenham – Maestro Conti
Dan Skelton has his team in strong form as he looks to challenge the Irish dominance at the upcoming Festival, and Maestro Conti looks ready to announce himself as a leading British hope for the Triumph Hurdle in this Grade 2 trial.
The French recruit arrived with a tall reputation after winning on debut at Moulins in September, but it was his first start on these shores at Kempton over Christmas that really set pulses racing. He travelled with supreme ease that day, putting the race to bed in a matter of strides to win by nearly ten lengths without ever coming off the bridle.
That performance suggested he possesses both the slick jumping and the high cruising speed required for the demands of Prestbury Park. While this represents a step up in class, he looks a juvenile of big potential and can cement his Festival credentials with a commanding victory here.

14:05 Doncaster – Deep Cave
Christian Williams has a special affinity with this race, having ridden the winner back in 2009, and he makes no secret that Deep Cave has been laid out specifically for this prize as a stepping stone to the Grand National.
The eight-year-old has been a revelation since joining the yard, looking every inch a staying chaser of the highest order when winning at Bangor in November. He backed that up with a gritty, last-gasp victory in the Silver Cup at Ascot last month, where he powered home to beat Leave Of Absence by a head, proving he has the stamina for a battle.
