England can run away with it in Riga
A win in Riga will guarantee England’s place at next summer’s World Cup and it is difficult to envisage anything but a comfortable victory against a Latvia side who could only draw 2-2 with Andorra on Saturday.
England have won all five matches in qualifying and beat Wales 3-0 in a friendly on Thursday, building that lead within 20 minutes and seeing the game out with ease.
Whether a power play or a reward for those in form, Thomas Tuchel seems happy to exclude some of his biggest names and there has been an added flow to the Three Lions’ last three outings, previously beating Andorra 2-0 and then Serbia 5-0 in September.
England won March’s reverse fixture 3-0 and are yet to concede in qualifying.
However, the price on an away win to nil on Tuesday is odds-on, so it is worth getting behind the confident tourists to surpass their spring success at Wembley with one by four or more goals in Riga.

Kane can break the deadlock
England captain Harry Kane sat out the win over Wales as a precaution, but Tuchel said he was “convinced” the Bayern Munich star will be fit to start on Tuesday.
Kane’s numbers this season are frightening, scoring 11 times in six Bundesliga matches and his efforts in other competitions take his tally to 18 overall in just 10 club matches.
The 32-year-old scored against Serbia in September and, trusting Tuchel on his fitness, he is impossible to ignore in the goalscoring markets.
Odds-on to net at any time, Kane’s Bayern form suggests he can break the deadlock at

Guehi and Rogers to star again
Morgan Rogers is making the England number 10 role his own and scored his first international goal against Wales.
Considering the Aston Villa man has provided more open play assists than any other Premier League player in 2025 (nine), he is worthy of consideration for direct goal involvement.
As is Marc Guehi, who was credited with the assist for Rogers’ goal on Thursday, as well as Ollie Watkins’ strike.
Guehi also scored in Serbia and is a guaranteed starter when fit, not just for his defensive prowess, but also for his ability to move the ball up the field.
That talent can draw fouls from opposition attackers and Latvia’s Vladislavs Gutkovskis is no stranger to infringements.
Gutkovskis has tallied a team-high 10 fouls during Latvia’s six qualifying matches and the burly forward is expected to put himself about against Guehi and co.
