Leeds vs Man United betting tips
Our betting expert has three Leeds vs Manchester United tips for Sunday’s clash in the Premier League at Elland Road (kick-off, 12.30pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.
- Leeds to win @ 17/10
- Manuel Ugarte to be booked @ 12/5
- Bet Builder – Both teams to receive a card, Dominic Calvert-Lewin over 0.5 headed shots on target & Gabriel Gudmundsson to be fouled 3+ times @ 10/1
Whites to turn up the heat on Amorim
Manchester United were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to rock-bottom Wolves on Tuesday and that result has put the pressure back on manager Ruben Amorim, who never seems far away from his position being questioned.
The Red Devils lacked creative spark in that share of the spoils, the absence of the injured Bruno Fernandes and AFCON participants Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo having a big impact on the overall output of the team.
United now take on a Leeds side who showed great grit and determination to draw 0-0 at Liverpool on Thursday, leaving the club seven points clear of the relegation zone heading into this weekend’s fixtures.
The Whites have drawn four of their last six games in an unbeaten stretch, having beaten Chelsea and Crystal Palace during this solid run of form.
Both of those victories came at Elland Road, where 15 of Leeds’ 21 total points have been earned and they will fancy their chances of registering another victory at United’s expense.
The Red Devils lost 2-1 at Aston Villa in their last away outing and the continued absence of key players may see them struggle in West Yorkshire.

Ugarte’s luck to run out
Manuel Ugarte has enjoyed a run in United’s starting XI over the past couple of weeks and he hasn’t been afraid to get stuck in.
The Uruguay international has racked up nine fouls across his last three appearances, picking up one caution during this period.
Having made three fouls in the Boxing Day win over Newcastle and two in the draw with Wolves, Ugarte was fortunate not to be shown a card in either contest.
In what should be a tough-tackling clash at Elland, the 24-year-old may struggle to stay away from the referee’s view and a second booking of the season could be coming his way.

Calvert-Lewin to help land bet builder
The tackles are expected to be flying in at Elland Road and the chances of both teams picking up a card look high.
Leeds have received at least one booking in 15 of their last 17 matches, while the same can be said of United in 13 of their last 14 fixtures.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin should be recalled to the Leeds starting XI for this contest and he looks good value to get at least one headed shot on target.
With the Whites scoring 12 goals from set-pieces this season and United conceding nine from these situations, the 6ft 2in Calvert-Lewin can fire a header at goal.
Leeds defender Gabriel Gudmundsson has been fouled at least three times in four of his last six appearances and there seems a strong chance that will happen again.
