Liverpool vs Arsenal betting tips
Our betting expert has three Liverpool vs Arsenal tips for the Super Sunday Premier match at Anfield. Find out how we think it’ll play out, as last season’s top two do battle.
- Draw and Both Teams to Score @ 100/30
- Gabriel to have 1 or more headers on target @ 11/2
- Bet Builder – Cody Gakpo to Score or Assist, Over 4 Cards, Over 9 Corners @ 6/1
Nothing to split the rivals
Both teams have started the season with back-to-back wins, but both have played in very different ways in collecting their six points.
Liverpool have conceded a total of four goals against Bournemouth and Newcastle and in both matches have allowed their opponents to come back from 2-0 down.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are yet to concede a goal having won 1-0 at Manchester United and followed that up with a crushing 5-0 home success over Leeds.
Last season’s two meetings between the sides finished in 2-2 draws, with Arsenal coming from behind at Anfield and Liverpool doing the same at the Emirates.
In fact, both teams have scored in six of the last seven match-ups, with draws in the last three league meetings on Merseyside.
Since 2015, there have been 19 league clashes between the two rivals and 78 goals scored – an average of 4.10 per match.

Gabriel can cause corner concerns
Much was made of Arsenal’s threat from set-pieces last season and it already looks like it might be a similar story in 2025-26.
Their winner at Old Trafford came from a corner, with Riccardo Calafiori taking advantage of a mistake from United keeper Altay Bayindir.
The Gunners then followed that up with two goals from corners against Leeds, with Jurrien Timber on the scoresheet twice.
In contrast, Liverpool have struggled dealing defensively with set-pieces and Mikel Arteta will see that as an area his team could exploit.
Gabriel, who scored at Anfield in a 1-1 draw in 2023, will be sent forward for every corner and will pose a threat.

Gakpo enjoying regular starts
The sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich has led to Cody Gakpo cementing himself in the Liverpool starting XI at the start of the campaign.
The Dutchman, who has been at Anfield since January 2023, has already played a key role in helping the Reds win their opening two matches.
Gakpo scored the second goal on the opening night win over Bournemouth, before claiming two assists in the victory at St James’ Park.
In recent seasons, with both teams fighting at the top of the table, there have been plenty of cards dished out.
In this fixture last term, Anthony Taylor handed out three yellows and a red card, with Mikel Merino sent off in the second half.
The previous season there were seven cautions, with Arsenal picking up five bookings and Liverpool two.
With the visitors knowing the threat they pose from set-pieces and with Liverpool pouring forward in numbers since the start of the season, Sunday’s clash looks likely to provide plenty of corners.
