Liverpool vs Everton Betting Tips
Our betting expert has three Liverpool vs Everton tips for today’s Merseyside derby in the Premier League at Anfield (kick-off 12.30pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.
- Liverpool to win & both teams to score @ 15/8
- Total goal minutes – Over 160 @ 11/10
- Bet Builder: Over 3 goals, Mohamed Salah to score at any time & most goals in second half @ 6/1
Reds to win entertaining derby
The 247th Merseyside derby promises to be an exciting affair, with both Liverpool and Everton having begun the season strongly.
The Reds have made a perfect start to their Premier League title defence, registering four wins from as many matches, while they also overcame Atletico Madrid in dramatic fashion in their Champions League opener on Wednesday night.
Arne Slot’s team have scored 14 goals across their six matches this season, but they have not always looked watertight at the back, conceding twice in games against Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Atleti.
That should give Everton some hope of getting on the scoresheet at Anfield, with the Toffees having netted seven across their last four fixtures, including three in their most recent away day at Wolves.
This is an improving Blues team, but the omens do not look good in terms of them getting a result on Saturday, as they have only won once away to Liverpool this century, while boss David Moyes has never triumphed in a league match in 20 previous visits to Anfield as a manager.

Late goals can lead to hefty total
All five of Liverpool’s wins this season have been secured by late goals, with the decisive strikes coming in the 83rd, 88th, 92nd, 95th and 100th minutes of their matches.
That has contributed to the total goal minutes in their games being high, with the win over Atleti going beyond the 200 mark, the Newcastle success over 300 and staggeringly their 4-2 win over Bournemouth totalled more than 400.
Everton’s last away fixture – a 3-2 win at Wolves – finished with a total goal minutes of 195, and given the attacking exploits of both these two sides, this derby could well go beyond the threshold that is set at 160 minutes.

Salah to have usual derby say
Liverpool’s six matches across all competitions this season have featured an eye-catching 22 goals and with Everton edging a five-goal thriller in their last road fixture, the likelihood of over three goals being struck at Anfield appears high.
If the goals are flowing, then Liverpool star Mohamed Salah should be involved. Only former Reds captain Steven Gerrard (nine) has more Premier League goals in Merseyside derbies than the Egyptian’s total of eight.
Salah had been yet to hit top form this season, but ominously for Everton that appears to have changed after he grabbed a goal and an assist against Atleti.
Completing this bet builder is for the second half to have more goals than the first. Seven of Liverpool’s nine Premier League goals this season have come after the break, with five of those being struck in the final 10 minutes.
Slot’s team seem to be revelling in late drama and that theme could continue on Saturday.
