  • Liverpool to win & both teams to score @ 9/4 with bet365
  • Liverpool to score in each half @ 6/5 with bet365
  • Bet Builder: Mohamed Salah to score, Jordan Pickford 4+ Saves & Both teams to score @ 13/2 with bet365

Reds to work for the win

David Moyes didn’t manage to win on any of the 12 times he visited Anfield as Everton boss first time around, but the Scot did return across Stanley Park unbeaten on seven of those occasions.

His Toffees side showed in February that they’ll happily mix it with their neighbours, playing out a 2-2 draw at a raucous Goodison Park as that famous old bastion of English football said a fitting farewell to this fixture.

The Toffees are now unbeaten in nine league games for Moyes, but they’ve drawn the last four and might come unstuck at Anfield. They have, though, scored in those nine straight games and that will provide encouragement.

So, too, will the fact that Liverpool have managed just two clean sheets in their previous 10 games in all competitions.

As they did at Goodison, the Blues can make a fight of this Merseyside derby, but Liverpool should edge it this time, as they so nearly did on enemy territory previously.

  • Liverpool vs Everton Tip 1: Liverpool to win & both teams to score @ 9/4 with bet365

Reds to come out and attack

Patience has been a virtue for Liverpool in Arne Slot’s first season, but they may want to come out all guns blazing here.

The Reds have scored at least twice in 26 of their 29 Premier League games this season, including each of their last nine in a row, and their last 12 in a row at Anfield amid a run of 15 domestic games at home where they have done it.

Breaking a record Everton have held for nigh-on 130 years will be motivation for the hosts. Should they score twice here, they will be the first side in English top-flight history to score 2+ goals in as many as 27 of their opening 30 matches of a campaign, a record currently held by their Merseyside rivals when they achieved it 26 times in the 1894/95 season.

Liverpool scored in both halves at Goodison in February and can repeat the feat now.

  • Liverpool vs Everton Tip 2: Liverpool to score in each half @ 6/5 with bet365

Salah to sign off in style

This could well be Mohamed Salah’s final Merseyside derby as Liverpool’s Egyptian star looks increasingly likely to depart in the summer.

Everton won’t be sad to see the back of a player who has scored eight goals in 12 Premier League appearances against them.

With 27 league goals already, Salah is doing everything in his power to secure the title he says he covets, should this prove to be his farewell season. He may even be set to top his personal-best tally of 32 in one season and he can take another step in that direction by netting here, as he did at Goodison.

Jordan Pickford only made two saves that night, but the Everton goalkeeper has made five apiece in games against Crystal Palace and West Ham. This promises to be a busy shift for him.

Everton have scored in nine consecutive league games, an impressively productive run after firing blanks in nine of the 11 before the January win against Tottenham.

They can net here, but they will do well to hold off the champions-elect, so both teams to score completes this Bet Builder selection.
