Visitors can play their part in entertaining affair
With the 12-month anniversary of Ruben Amorim’s appointment passing, Manchester United appear to have steadied the ship to some degree as they have gone five matches without defeat and could potentially climb into the top four with a victory on Monday night.
Since losing 3-1 to Brentford at the end of September, United have also had few problems finding the net as they have scored at least two goals in each of the five games in their unbeaten streak. However, there are clearly still issues that Amorim needs to sort out and their defensive problems can lead to a goal-laden encounter.
Only Manchester City and Arsenal have stopped United from scoring this season but the Red Devils have kept only one clean sheet in 12 games in all competitions, which includes Grimsby bagging twice in their EFL Cup shock at the end of August.
United have conceded twice in each of their last three games, something which Everton can exploit as they look to play their part in an entertaining affair, with both games between the two sides last season generating four goals.
Defensive absentees for both sides, notably Harry Maguire for the hosts and Jarrad Branthwaite for the visitors, also adds to the appeal of goals and there could be plenty of action at both ends on Monday night.

Summer signing can extend hot streak
United’s attacking struggles last season saw a huge summer revamp, with Bryan Mbeumo brought in from Brentford alongside Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko to beef up the forward line.
There is little doubt that Cameroon’s Mbeumo has made the biggest impact, bagging six goals in his 12 appearances for the hosts, and he can continue his rich vein of form against Everton.
October’s Premier League Player of the Month has scored four goals in his last four appearances and should be confident of adding to his tally against a side who have won only one and lost three of their five away games in the league this season.

Fernandes can torment Toffees once again
While United may be vulnerable at times defensively they have an excellent home record, winning four of five games at Old Trafford this season, and hold a clear superiority over Everton, having won six of the last seven fixtures and drawing the other.
Bruno Fernandes remains a key cog in United’s offensive threat despite perhaps not hitting the numbers he would have liked this season, but he still leads his side in assists with three and should be full of confidence after his hat-trick for Portugal took his goal tally to five this term.
The United skipper has scored six goals and provided five assists in 11 Premier League appearances against Everton and he can torment them once again.
The hosts will not get everything their own way on Monday and Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish should cause plenty of problems in wide areas. No United player has been shown more yellow cards than Patrick Dorgu and three of his four cautions have come in the last six games. He offers excellent value to fall foul of the referee once again.
