Magpies can increase the stress for Frank
Newcastle are starting to hit their stride, the Magpies enjoying Premier League wins against Manchester City and Everton in their last two outings.
Eddie Howe’s side became only the second team to defeat Everton at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium home on Saturday evening, rushing into a 3-0 half-time lead in what was a comfortable 4-1 success on Merseyside.
Later in the evening, Tottenham’s misery on their own patch was plunged to new depths by a 2-1 loss to Fulham, the Lilywhites trailing by two goals after just six minutes.
Spurs have lost three in a row, conceding 11 times and have plundered just one win in seven across all competitions, losing five times.
Their record on the road is stronger than at home, with 13 of the 18 points accrued by Thomas Frank’s side picked up away from home.
They have scored in all six games away from home and may continue that trend in the north east, but Newcastle are starting to motor and should have too much for a visiting side leaking goals lately.

Hall to have fun attacking Spurs
Newcastle’s full-backs Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento were outstanding in the win at Everton, often finding themselves amongst the most advanced Magpies players.
Spurs were under pressure from Fulham down the wings in their Saturday night defeat and this promises to be a very difficult test for the Londoners.
Hall has had his injury problems this season, but has now started successive Premier League games and he got an assist for a Malick Thiaw goal at the weekend.
The 21-year-old England international was also unfortunate to see a shot deflect onto the top of the crossbar in that contest.
He will be roaming forward again and is worth backing to work the Lilywhites goalkeeper.

Woltemade to send Magpies on their way
Nick Woltemade has proved a really good acquisition for Newcastle after joining from Stuttgart. The Germany forward has 11 goals for club and country since September following his contribution at Everton.
He is the main striker for the Magpies and has opened the scoring six times this season for club and country.
The 23-year-old is taken to break the deadlock again now and set Newcastle on their way to a third successive Premier League win and a second success against Tottenham this season, after the League Cup win here in October.
Over two goals looks likely, with the Magpies in free-scoring form recently and Tottenham’s track record of scoring in nine of their 11 away trips in all competitions under Frank.
Spurs have leaked 13 times in four games recently, however, and another defeat appears looming as the pressure on their Danish boss starts to grow.
